This was a tough choice, but I went with the 2028 QB for our second QB off the board. JJ has all the arm talent in the world and has earned a few D1 offers in his first couple years of high school football. This season coming up is where he has his breakout on the field. We will get to see JJ on a weekly basis leading his offense, making decisions, and showing off the arm strength and pinpoint accuracy from the pocket.

JJ has seen some varsity action early in his high school career, but 2026 looks like it will be his time to completely own the QB1 position at Oak Creek. In 2025 we saw the Oak Creek QBs combine for 179 pass attempts. I’m excited to watch JJ own the job, lead his team, and really prove his next level talent over 9+ games in 2026. The physical talent is overflowing. The ball rips out of his hand with natural and effortless velocity when he needs to hit a window. His mechanics are refined from years of work. It is time to put it all together and show how he handles the live action and chaos that goes on around the QB on a weekly basis.

No quarterback was more consistent at the camp than Chapman. He has a quick release, smooth delivery and throws a nice catchable ball with great velocity over the middle of the field and great touch on the deep ball. I saw Chapman twice at summer camps at Notre Dame and Purdue, and the top Badger State signal caller has the goods and keeps getting better. Strikes me as a very mature young man.

Still an underclassman, JJ is already building a strong resume. He holds multiple FBS offers and also holds multiple PRZ WI Showcase MVPs for his position. The 6’1″ 195 lbs signal caller is a rare talent in Wisconsin. He is the most gifted and natural thrower of the football that I have seen. The sophomore showed prototypical mechanics from his footwork to his release. The ball jumps out of his hand with easy velocity. Velocity that he can keep on the ball while attacking even the deepest levels of the field. JJ has great accuracy and ball placement too. Whether it was 1 on 1s or positional drills where they were told where and how to place the ball, JJ delivered every single attempt. The sky is the limit for this 2028. He is primed for a huge offseason and starting it off really well.

. The freshman QB is an outstanding prospect. His skill set and traits are beyond his years. The combination of arm strength and pinpoint accuracy to any spot on the field is elite. His mechanics are sharp and consistent and he has the ability to retain his accuracy when he has to deliver the ball from an awkward angle or on the run. I have been able to watch JJ throw multiple times in person and the way the ball jumps out of his hand is different than I have ever seen; especially for his age. The ’28 is putting in the work to get even better too in preparation for his sophomore season. JJ also is the only athlete in this Class with an offer at this time (Toledo). No question, JJ is working his way towards being a Power 4 QB. Big things ahead for the signal caller out of Oak Creek.

Most years you won’t be building the accuracy of your Perfect QB recruit around the talent of a freshman, but most years don’t give us a kid like

. Watching him throw live multiple times already has made it very clear that JJ has some of the best command over his ball placement that we have seen from a WI HS product. It doesn’t matter if it is a short, intermediate, or deep pass. JJ has pinpoint ball placement. Even when changing between touch passes or firing it to a spot with little air underneath it. JJ understands where to place the ball on every throw and executes at a super high level.

is our first ever multi-Showcase MVP. He split the honor in the spring, and on Sunday took it home for himself. The wild part is JJ just got cleared to start using his injured foot earlier this week, so he didn’t partake in any of the athletic testing. Once we flipped to the football drills and 1 on 1 battles where he could stand and throw there was no question he was the premier talent in the group. JJ is developing a skill set that checks every box. He can hit every throw with the necessary touch or velocity to every level of the field. His pinpoint accuracy continues to get even better. Some of the dimes the freshman dropped to his receiver were college quality throws. On one leg, the freshman QB came out and was lights out throwing the football. I’m pumped to watch him continue to push his game to new heights.

Usually we try to wait to write about 2028s until August of their freshman year, but JJ hasn’t left us any option but to cover him earlier because he shows up and dominates at camps we host or attend. The rapidly rising freshman QB already holds 1 FBS offer after a great summer of camps and we are sure to see that number grow impressively over the coming years.
On the field, JJ has an elite base of talent to build on and develop. He has a solid frame, quick feet, full body mechanics to create as much velocity behind the ball as needed depending on the window he is targeting. Chapman also has great control over his ball placement and spot on accuracy. The Oak Creek athlete is going to have a lot of talent around him and against him throughout his career to help develop him into a special prospect by 2027. This baller needs to be on recruiting boards today if he isn’t already.

. The Milwaukee-area talent is already a PrepRedzoneNEXT and PrepRedzoneWI Showcase MVP and Top Performer, and we’re lucky to already have a couple of exposure points on the young Wisconsinite. Here’s what our lead Wisconsin scout Mark Johnson said about Chapman and his performance at April’s PRzWI Combine Series Showcase. “JJ is a special prospect. The poise, confidence, and talent he possesses at such a young age is very hard to find. JJ has clearly absorbed his coaching very well. There is no wasted movement from his feet to his hips, shoulders, and hands. The young passer demonstrated great awareness for when to attack with touch and when to attack with velocity. JJ carved up 1 on 1s, hitting receivers in stride, putting the ball where his man could get it without putting it at risk from DBs.”
Chapman, obviously an eye-catcher, has been making big waves on the summer camp circuit in June. The rising freshman went into the University of Toledo’s camp at the very end of May and earned his first offer from the FBS Rockets’ QB coach and Co-OC Robert Weiner, in-person and live. After that, P4 camp offers started to pour in, with Kansas, Iowa State, Minnesota, and Alabama all reaching out. Chapman also went into the Wisconsin Badgers prospect camp in mid-June and performed like the best QB in attendance, impressing the Badgers staff and media in attendance alike. The arm talent and poise this young man possesses at his age is off the charts, and it’s safe to say that at least from the Upper Midwest scouts at PRZ, we haven’t seen a QB this polished and this young before. You’re going to want to remember the name

Chapman measured in at 5’11, 169 lbs and impressed rep after rep during the PRZ Midwest Middle School Showcase. The Class of 2028 quarterback hails from Wisconsin and attended the PRZ Stock Up Showcase in December as well. An incredibly polished player, Chapman has potential to be a big time quarterback in Wisconsin and in the Midwest over the next several years. Keep an eye on this rising star.
