Expert Analysis
Caleb Sisk | Prep Redzone Scout
Raiola got much more comfortable in the Buford system during the season, and he is someone who had a great understanding of what was going on. This is something you need when you are the quarterback of a premier program. He will be someone to key in on in the playoffs, and is someone who could lead his team to the playoffs. I believe Raiola has teh chance to be one of the better players in the class at the position if he can pick things up quickly under his brother Dylan at Nebraska. Raiola is absolutely a top QB in the state, and that will be something that shows in the postseason.

Raiola is a star at this point in his high school career. Everyone has tried to compare him to his brother, but they are simply uncomparable, because they are entirely different ball players. Raiola had many great passes in this one, but his deep ball was one of the better ones I’ve seen this season. Raiola has great command, and is one of the better QBs when it comes to the knowledge

Raiola is building off a breakout junior season with an efficient first half of his senior year. If he plays at this pace the rest of the year, he will finish with his most productive season yet as a passer. Raiola is well built from the ground up with a stout, strong frame. I wouldn’t consider him a runner, but he is athletic enough to evade pressure and handle roll/sprint out opportunities. Raiola has smooth, calm mechanics with easy arm strength. The ball arrives loud. He does a good job of mixing up trajectories to make different throws. He reminds me slightly of Bo Nix.

Raiola’s commitment to Nebraska continues a family legacy; his father, Dominic, was an All-American center for the Cornhuskers, and his brother, Dylan, is currently the team’s starting quarterback. His uncle, Donovan Raiola, serves as Nebraska’s offensive line coach. Dayton chose Nebraska over offers from Appalachian State and Charlotte, emphasizing the importance of family and tradition in his decision. As he enters his senior year, Raiola aims to build on his impressive junior season and solidify his path to collegiate success.
