Matt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
One of the fastest and more explosive pass-catchers in the state and across the South, Allen is electric with the ball in his hands and is verbally committed to play at Georgia Tech next year. He shows consistent hands, impressive change of direction, and game-changing speed, making him a threat to score whenever he has the ball. Allen was one of the biggest playmakers across Gwinnett County this season, hauling in 35 passes for 793 yards and five touchdowns, averaging an outstanding 22.7 yards per catch. He’s a big play waiting to happen and should see plenty of targets come his way against Carrollton.

The electric playmaker is still showing the Cardinal on his profile but he recently flipped to Georgia Tech and will be “In the Flatts” next Fall. Solid frame with a RB build, Allen is twitchy with ball in his hands and has elite top end speed. He had an outstanding game v North Gwinnett in the QF round earning game MVP and showing a multitude of skills. He took an end around for a TD, showed his ability to catch the ball in traffic and how he can stretch a defense vertically on any play. Great option for Riaola and a hard player to defend against

is another Cornell offer with P4 offers under his belt. Allen is a gadget-y slot WR prospect with a stockier, RB-like 5’8 170 frame. Also, similar to a RB, he is super explosive in the short areas and can quickly get to his top speed, even from a complete stop. His explosiveness translates to his footwork. He fires his feet and makes strong cuts, quickly leaving defenders in the dirt and dancing around tacklers to find open space. He also runs 10.9 in the 100, giving him the straight line speed needed to get vertical, outrun angles, and explode through running lanes. His footwork and explosiveness translates to his route running, overwhelming defenders at the line with his footwork and quickly slipping off his route into open field. He will also line up in the backfield and returns kicks, where his playmaking translates. All in all, Allen will iron out some sort of role at the P4 level and reminds me a little bit of Ainias Smith.
