is someone I have covered a long time now, he has the ability and agility to make consistent, big plays. Chatmon has good vision, physical ability and can hit the hole with a burst getting into the second level. He is a player that is going to make a lot of plays in the 2026 year, keep eyes on him closely.

over the weekend at the PRZGA Combine and his ability to do what he does shows his grind. He’s a hard worker and you can definitely see it when he’s putting reps out there. He doesn’t take reps off, nor does he go at them halfway. He’s full throttle. I expect big things from Chatmon this fall.

for the last couple of years and to no surprise was it to see him be one of the better backs out there. He’s gained some early attention as a 2028 back out of Purple Hurricane Country at Cartersville High School. He’s one of the top running backs in the 2028 class in the Peach State. Chatmon showcased his all-around ability and that’s what I really like about him is that he’s not limited or one dimensional. He’s a very swift back and he’s a focused player who certainly showed consistency throughout the day. He’s going to be a special player in the State of Georgia without a doubt.

has generated some early buzz out of the 2028 class in GA as one of the best players at the position. For RBs in general, the camp setting takes away 70% of their game, so it makes it harder to stand out at this position. Regardless, Chatmon was recognized as a position MVP, and I think it’s because of his consistency. He is an efficient mover, operating with little wasted movement. As a receiver, he was a calm operator and had flashes of good hands. Chatmon is a smooth, even player, which will bode well for him as he develops that extra gear.

One of the top young backs across the state, Chatmon got his feet wet at the varsity level last season as a freshman, but with Cartersville’s two leading rushers from last season gone, they’ll be looking for more running backs to step up. Chatmon’s speed, versatility, and potential set him up nicely to be a key member of the Cartersville rushing attack next season. As a sophomore next fall, Chatmon has a chance to prove he’s one of the best 2028 backs in the state, and if he keeps improving, you have to like his chances.

Chatmon is another big piece of the loaded and talented roster in the 2028 class at Cartersville High School. His ability to run the football is one that anyone can notice right off due to his running style and his will to make things happen any chance he gets. He’s one of the best backs in the 2028 class and I look forward to seeing him grow into the great player many of us believes he can. He has the vision and the natural ability to make big plays when needed.

A 2028 back in North Georgia to keep a close eye on this fall, Chatmon is a promising back who could have a big role in the Cartersville offense next fall as a sophomore. He brings a shorter, but compact frame that allows him to elude defenders and stay upright after initial contact. He sees the field well, follows his blocks, and shows reliable hands out of the backfield. He’s a dynamic back on the rose who is now ranked as the No. 6 RB and the No. 17 overall prospect in the state for the 2028 class. Look for his stock to only rise more and more over time.

Athletically, Chatmon might be further along than any GA RB in the 2028 class. He is already up to 5’7 170. He has tested well on the camp circuit and has clocked in at 11.9 in the 100M. On tape, his speed is put on full display. He plays on easy mode against kids his age, easily outrunning angles and staying away from chasing defenders. He runs with plenty of force from his legs, allowing him to pinball off defenders and stay on his feet through contact. In middle school, he got the ball a lot on screen plays that allowed him to make plays in space. That versatility and experience should help him find the field early.

This explosive running back will make you hold your breath every time he gets the ball in his hands. Why? Tripp is an automatic home run threat due to his track speed and vision. Watching the patience mixed with a natural running style is a pleasure to witness.

knows he is 5’5 and 145 pounds soaking wet so he plays to his strengths to be affective in the run and passing game. The Cartersville standout should reach the endzone on a regular basis this year, much like 2022-2023 Pro Bowler Trevor Lawrence once did for the Hurricanes.
