McCray has been a scouting favorite of ours for a while, but we haven’t written about him since he committed to Richmond. The best part of his game is that he’s never out of control. He can fire off and break downhill in a hurry, but he rarely overcommits or takes bad angles. He’s a sideline-to-sideline player who makes plenty of tackles while running toward the line of scrimmage, something we can’t say about every linebacker we scout.

Quintin is a tackling machine for the Chargers, displaying good speed and agility making plays at the second level of the defense. 122 tackles and 14 tackles for loss speaks for itself in all honesty. I think Quintin should be receiving more recruiting attention than he is publicly, but with an offer from Miami (Ohio), he should see increased recruiting attention as we go through the summer camp season.

An incredibly productive season for Quintin, who had 122 tackles and 14 tackles for loss on the year, squarely put him on our radar for Junior Bowl selection. Quintin was also a 1st Team Big South All Conference selection in NCISAA play. Looking at Quintin on film, he does an excellent job job defending the run, sifting through the trash to get to ball carriers with excellent speed. Once he gets there, Quintin does a great job at making open field tackles. He doesn’t have a ton of recruiting attention, but he definitely should get some looks going into his senior year in my opinion.
