Steele recently committed to Wake Forest to play college football, so we have to congratulate him on that decision! Steele has excellent speed and is a dynamic threat not only on offense, but on special teams as well. There will be a new quarterback for Providence Day behind center this year, but I still think Fletcher is poised to light up the private school ranks with some big numbers for the Chargers this upcoming season.

Don’t let the size fool you, because Steele is a dynamic threat in a Chargers offense that had a lot of firepower with a ton of talent this past season. This season the Chargers will be breaking in a new quarterback and Steele figures to be a major part of the passing attack as some talented receivers have moved on to play college football. Steele is a threat out of the slot with speed and dynamic route running ability. He’s received some early offers, and I think we’ll see a lot more of what he can do as a total package in the offense and as a returner on special teams this upcoming season.

While there isn’t a mass graduation exodus from the receiver room like there has been the past few years, the Chargers do lose a couple guys, meaning Fletcher is the next young guy to step up as a primary target. He’s a strong route-runner and excels after the catch. It’s a true pipeline there, so expect Fletcher to be the next great FBS receiver out of Providence Day.

Steele broke out as a freshman at another school as a dynamic playmaker all over the field, and now he has just continued to build on that at Providence Day. Steele is very fast in the open field, and can excel in the quick screen game and on Special Teams as a kick returner. Steele also has good vision with the football in his hands. As time goes on within the Chargers program, he will get more and more opportunities to shine and we will be able to see what he can do with those. Steele already has several Division 1 college football offers and his trajectory is pointing sky high going into the summer camp season.
