Expert Analysis
Connor Jackson | Prep Redzone Scout
Dempsey is a big body receiver with several D1 offers under his belt, and was extremely reliable and consistent all weekend. He is tall, holds plenty of strength on a 200-pound frame, and moves well, so he was a tough guard for any defender in attendance. Played a TE-like role all weekend, settling down in space and using his frame to box out and present an easy target to the QB. Regardless, long-term, I think he sticks at WR, even with his size. He flashes some twitch off the line, and is an efficient mover for his size. He is big, sure-handed, and a trusted target when you have to have it.

With his latest offer coming from East Carolina, Ethan is a tall and fast prospect who comes in at #5 on our list here. Like his teammate in

, Ethan should have a bigger statistical season for the Chargers as more balls should come his way in the passing game with the graduation of some talented teammates from their state championship team. Ethan shows excellent discipline in running his routes, and has shown the ability to win consistently down the field against 1 on 1 coverage.

Recently picking up an offer from East Carolina reaffirms the fact that Ethan is a Division 1 caliber prospect on a lot of college football program radars. Similar to his aforementioned teammate

, Ethan is poised to have a bigger role in the Chargers offense due to some other talented players graduating. Ethan has a great size/speed combination that allows him to win on a variety of routes on the outside against opposing secondaries. Ethan shows strong hands on his catches, and some ability after the catch to make plays with the ball in his hands. That ability also allows Ethan to be a threat as a returner in the special teams game as well. As the off-season moves forward, I’m expecting more interest and offers to come his way.

Dempsey was one of several talented Providence Day receivers in 2025, but his athletic profile gives him upside in a variety of roles. He was used more deep and over the middle this season than he was at his previous school, but he still provides elite after-the-catch ability. His ability as a return man gives him a chance to contribute early at the FBS level.

Ethan has had a great offseason from a recruiting perspective, picking up multiple Division 1 college football offers. Ethan has also shown some things while playing 7 on 7, which for him is probably more important than for other players, because of the type of offense Mt. Pleasant runs throughout the season. Ethan has shown some elite speed and athleticism, which helps enhance his highlights from his junior year. I expect Ethan to have another strong season on both sides of the ball for the Tigers, who hope to improve on their 2nd round playoff appearance this year.

Dempsey rocketed up our rankings board this offseason, jumping almost 100 spots after a strong camp season. The athletic profile is the calling card here, as he has size, speed, and versatility. I think he likely ends up playing most on the offensive side of the ball in college, and if he does, the coaches will have plenty to work with while he refines his route-running and feel on that side of the ball.
