Expert Analysis
Matt Morrow | Prep Redzone Scout
Our #1 player in the 2028 class in North Carolina tops this list, and I’m not sure what else you can say about Braylon that hasn’t been said already. His ability to win against man coverage on a variety of routes is impressive, along with the speed and playmaking ability that shows when running routes and making kickoff & punt returns is really special at his size. His recruiting continues to be on fire, with his latest offers coming from Indiana, Norte Dame, Kentucky, LSU, Arizona State, Texas, Virginia Tech, Auburn, and Colorado – all in February!

We’ve only ranked a wide receiver as the best overall player in his class once in the last six cycles, but Clark may end up the second when things are all said and done in about two and a half years. His combination of size, speed, and ball skills make him a matchup nightmare and helped him finish second in the state in receiving among freshmen last season. We expect even more from him as a sophomore, despite a quarterback change and we’re excited to see how he develops.
