Kim is an athletic corner who matched up against talented receivers all season long. Measures in at 5’11 175-pounds and these are his stats through the regular season. 59 total tackles (27 solo, 32 assisted), 2 INT (1 for TD), 1 FR for a touchdown. Kim has very good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, change of direction, speed, and good jumping. Kim has good press at the line of scrimmage. Smooth and controlled back pedal with fluid hips to match the wide out as they break into their route. Very good man coverage and zone coverage. Sticks to his WR like glue and has good timing with his pass breakups. Very good closing quickness. Very good read and reaction speed. Kim has a INT and FR both for a touchdown. He shows his athletic ability and home run speed to blaze past everyone into the endzone. He’s a quality player and deserves more looks from colleges.

Kim is making a strong return after missing most of last season and he is already showing his ability to impact games as a cornerback. He brings physicality to the position, not shying away from contact and delivering big hits in run support. Kim has the awareness to force turnovers and the speed to stay step for step with opposing receivers, limiting separation. His aggressive style of play makes him a dual threat in coverage and against the run. With a healthy season ahead, Kim has the tools to re-establish himself as a playmaker and a defender that will be on D1 radars.

Kim has some great intangibles at the cornerback position. He has very good athletic ability due to elite acceleration, very good speed, good jumping, and change of direction. Kim is physical with pressing the WR at the LOS. Jams them up. Very good back pedal. In man coverage he is superb. He sticks like glue, and is stride for stride with the WR. Kim has very good closing quickness as well. He’s smart and uses his hands to swat the ball out of the receivers’ hands. In the run game, he demonstrates good block shedding. One thing about Kim is his very good competitive toughness. He has relentless pursuit and doesn’t stop until the ball carrier is tackled. He’ll run across the field to make the tackle, and he brings that same energy on special teams. Very excited to see more of Kim in his senior season.

Kim is a player that has the speed to stay hip to hip with receivers and can anticipate throws to break and separate the football. He will be spending the offseason perfecting his footwork as it will help him be a lockdown corner, being in on more pass breakups. He has quick hips being able to open up quickly to stay on top of defenders and can use the sideline to ride the receiver out of bounds.
