[player_tooltip player_id='1366322' first='Braden' last='Ward'] - Senior Quarterback - Pryor

Pryor has hit the halfway mark with an unbeaten record and it's in large part due to senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1366322' first='Braden' last='Ward'] and his play this fall. Ward has been one of the more efficient and productive quarterbacks in the state and specifically in Class 5A. In Friday night's win over Tahlequah, Ward threw for nearly 300 yards and four touchdowns on 15-18 passing. That's been a typical stat line for Ward and he has the Tigers as a very serious contender in Class 5A as we turn the page and head into the second half of the 2025 regular season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1198313' first='Braylon' last='Lassiter'] - Senior Quarterback - Shawnee

Shawnee took down top five Booker T Washington on Friday night and senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1198313' first='Braylon' last='Lassiter'] was the star of the night. The dual-threat quarterback was exactly that Friday, finishing with 177 passing yards and a touchdown and 223 rushing yards and a three touchdowns. He was almost a borderline one-man wrecking crew on the offensive side of the ball. Shawnee is a team to keep an eye on moving forward because they have some serious talent on both sides of the ball and with Lassiter playing like that, they could be a force.

[player_tooltip player_id='1748506' first='Brock' last='Day'] - Junior Running Back - Harrah

Harrah snapped a two-game skid Friday night when they beat rival Tecumseh 49-23. Leading the way for the Panthers was junior running back [player_tooltip player_id='1748506' first='Brock' last='Day'] as he continues to have a very successful junior season. Day ran for over 200 yards and three touchdowns on 22 carries as the Panthers improved to 3-2 on the season. The Panthers are determined to make it back to the playoffs and Friday's win helps them in that pursuit. And as we mentioned, Day has had a very impressive start to his junior season and he doesn't plan on slowing down anytime soon.

[player_tooltip player_id='474870' first='Brock' last='Heilmann'] - Junior Running Back - Coweta

Coweta improved to 5-0 on the season after they beat Bishop Kelley 22-20 on Friday night. After struggling through growing pains in 2024, the Tigers have come back with a vengeance this season. Junior running back [player_tooltip player_id='474870' first='Brock' last='Heilmann'] has been dominant this season and he's a big reason why the Tigers are in this position. In the win over Bishop Kelley, Heilmann ran for well over 100 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries. He also added six catches for 42 yards and a touchdown. It's time to start taking Coweta very seriously moving forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='284114' first='Carson' last='Kirby'] - Senior Quarterback - Bixby

Senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='284114' first='Carson' last='Kirby'] and the Bixby Spartans lit up the scoreboard on Friday night with an 81-6 victory over Moore. Kirby had a complete night on the offensive side of the ball. He threw for over 300 yards and four touchdowns on 10-13 passing. He also added 51 yards on the ground and on a trick play, he caught a touchdown for the Spartan offense. There is no doubt that Bixby is on a roll right now and the triggerman of one of the best offenses in the state is Kirby. He's been in full control of this unit since the start of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1830748' first='Cecil' last='Garrett'] - Senior Running Back - Claremore

Claremore is undefeated through the first half of the regular season and senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='1830748' first='Cecil' last='Garrett'] is a big reason why. This is not the first time that Garrett has been on this weekly feature and if the first half of the season was any indication, it won't be the last. Garrett and the Zebras rolled to a 64-21 victory over Nathan Hale Friday night. Garrett ran for nearly 200 yards and five touchdowns on just nine carries. We don't have complete stats from every 5A team but Garrett has to be among the very best rushers in 5A football this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1509037' first='Chase' last='Benham'] - Junior Running Back - Stilwell

It's not very often that we feature players on teams that came up short on Friday night. But we've made a couple exceptions this week and it starts with junior running back [player_tooltip player_id='1509037' first='Chase' last='Benham'] from Stilwell. They came up short Friday night, losing 55-44 to McLain but Benham (and the rest of the Stilwell offense for that matter) could not be stopped Friday. And Benham was an absolute workhorse, finishing with 200 yards and three touchdowns on 33 carries. That kind of workhorse performance is always something to watch, regardless of the final score.

[player_tooltip player_id='1164507' first='CJ' last='Wright'] - Sophomore Running Back - Lincoln Christian

Lincoln Christian sent quite the statement to the rest of Class 3A on Friday night when they shut out Holland Hall 62-0. Whenever you're scoring 62 points as an offense, there are plenty of players to pick from to feature here. Sophomore running back [player_tooltip player_id='1164507' first='CJ' last='Wright'] gets the nod here after running for 120 yards and two touchdowns on seven carries. He also added 27 yards and a touchdown on four receptions. Lincoln Christian has a legitimate two-headed monster at the running back position and they are kicking it into high gear now.

[player_tooltip player_id='1539927' first='Donavin' last='Garfield'] - Senior Quarterback - Seminole

On Thursday, we added Seminole senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1539927' first='Donavin' last='Garfield'] to our PRZ-Oklahoma Player Of The Year Watchlist. On Friday, Garfield backed up the hype with another phenomenal performance in a 28-24 win over Bristow. Garfield threw for over 350 yards and four touchdowns on 21-29 passing. He also added over 100 yards on 21 carries. And as always, Garfield was also productive on defense, finishing the night with an interception. Garfield has helped Seminole to a 5-0 start and they show no signs of slowing down.

[player_tooltip player_id='1525562' first='Greydon' last='Howell'] - Junior Quarterback - Broken Bow

Broken Bow junior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1525562' first='Greydon' last='Howell'] is another player that came up short on the scoreboard but they were absolutely dominant on the field. Howell and the Savages lost to Sallisaw 40-30 in a high-scoring and entertaining ball game. Howell threw for over 350 yards and a pair of touchdowns while also adding 127 yards and a pair of touchdowns on the ground. We've said it once and we'll say it again, Howell is one of the most dynamic quarterbacks that we've seen in recent memory and even though they came up short, he shined.

[player_tooltip player_id='1461909' first='Hunter' last='Purvis'] - Junior Wide Receiver - Jones

Jones absolutely dominated district rival Millwood on Friday night, winning 59-19. The Longhorns were supposed to win but that final score will probably turn some heads around the state and specifically in Class 2A-1. Leading the way was Jones' passing attack and junior wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1461909' first='Hunter' last='Purvis'] certainly benefitted from that. He finished with 122 yards and three touchdowns as a receiver and also totaled nearly 200 all purpose yards in the win. The Longhorns look like a very serious contender for the Class 2A-1 state championship.

[player_tooltip player_id='587270' first='Jerrod' last='Williams'] - Senior Wide Receiver/Defensive Back - Heritage Hall

Heritage Hall dominated Anadarko Friday night, winning 52-14 as the Chargers continue their lengthy district winning streak. Shining for the Chargers was senior and Tulsa commit [player_tooltip player_id='587270' first='Jerrod' last='Williams'] in the win. He was once again dominant on both sides of the ball. Offensively, he finished with five catches for 170 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Defensively, he also had an interception. We've said it once but Williams is hands down one of the best two-way players in Class 3A and it's clear to us that he's one of the best two-way players in the state.

[player_tooltip player_id='1667339' first='Jeymon' last='Reed'] - Freshman Quarterback - Altus

It feels like Altus freshman quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1667339' first='Jeymon' last='Reed'] has been on this weekly feature almost every week this season and he's a big reason why the Bulldogs are 5-0 to start the season. Reed had another dominant performance through the air and on the ground Friday night. Altus rolled to a 50-6 win over Western Heights while Reed threw for nearly 200 yards and four touchdowns on 10-12 passing. He also added 105 yards and two touchdowns on three carries. His night was over halfway through the second quarter as Altus cruised to the win.

[player_tooltip player_id='1328118' first='Kamieon' last='Compton-Nero'] - Sophomore Quarterback/Defensive Back - Rejoice Christian

Defending champion Rejoice Christian went on the road to face Pocola in a top five showdown. They left with a 27-20 victory but they had to earn it after Pocola rallied to tie the game early in the fourth quarter. Sophomore quarterback and defensive back [player_tooltip player_id='1328118' first='Kamieon' last='Compton-Nero'] didn't have the cleanest game but he helped carry his team to the win. He threw a touchdowns and ran for two more. He also had some big hits on the defensive side of the ball. His second rushing touchdown came in the fourth quarter that gave Rejoice the lead for good.

[player_tooltip player_id='935005' first='Kane' last='Foreman'] - Senior Quarterback - Pawhuska

Pawhuska had a district showdown with Pawnee and came out on top, winning 42-40 Friday night. Senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='935005' first='Kane' last='Foreman'] once again led the Huskies to the win but he did it in a new way Friday night. He threw for over 250 yards and five touchdowns on 13-26 passing. But it was the last two touchdowns that helped the Huskies rally from a two possession deficit to win the game. This was the first time that the Huskies were really challenged this season. Foreman didn't back down from the challenge and he elevated his play down the stretch.

[player_tooltip player_id='1839047' first='Karrson' last='Davis'] - Sophomore Quarterback - Fort Gibson

Fort Gibson is continuing to win games and is a team that is getting more and more in the race in Class 4A. Sophomore quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1839047' first='Karrson' last='Davis'] led the way on Friday night, in their 49-7 win over Oologah. He threw for nearly 350 yards and four touchdowns on 20-29 passing. Fort Gibson is starting to steal a lot of the attention in Class 4A because of their star offensive lineman. But the Tigers have some really good playmakers around him and Davis is the latest name to be featured here. Fort Gibson looks like a dark horse for the district crown.

[player_tooltip player_id='1678735' first='Kase' last='Adams'] - Junior Quarterback - Sallisaw

It was one of the biggest games of week five as Sallisaw went on the road and faced Broken Bow in a 4A top five clash. The Black Diamonds prevailed, winning 40-30 and that puts them in a good position in the district standings moving forward. Junior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1678735' first='Kase' last='Adams'] led the way for Sallisaw, finishing the night with over 150 yards and two touchdowns on 17-23 passing. He also added nearly 100 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries. We mentioned Broken Bow's Howell earlier and Friday night's clash was a great night of quarterback play.

[player_tooltip player_id='402378' first='KD' last='Jones'] - Senior Running Back - Jenks

Jenks bounced back from a tough loss at home to Bixby by going on the road and handing Norman their first loss of the season. To nobody's surprise, senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='402378' first='KD' last='Jones'] was the star of the night once again for the Trojans. He finished the night with over 200 yards and three touchdowns on 16 carries. He also added five catches for 27 yards as the Trojans rolled to a 44-0 victory over the Tigers. Jones continues to climb the Jenks career rushing yards list. He also continues to be a dominant offensive threat in the Jenks backfield.

[player_tooltip player_id='1292050' first='Kincayde' last='Eng'] - Senior Quarterback - Metro Christian

Just like with Garfield a Seminole, we also added Metro Christian senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1292050' first='Kincayde' last='Eng'] to our PRZ-Oklahoma Player Of The Year Watchlist and he came out with a bang Friday. Eng threw for four touchdowns as the Patriots rolled to a 42-14 victory over Chandler. Eng went 17-26 and he accounted for over 300 yards of total offense in the win. As we wrote on Thursday, there's a good chance that Eng and the Patriots roll to an unbeaten regular season and they look like a serious threat to contend for the Class 2A-1 state championship.

[player_tooltip player_id='1524935' first='Landen' last='Griffith'] - Junior Quarterback - Talihina

Talihina remained undefeated Friday night with a 61-6 victory over Gore. Leading the way once again was junior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1524935' first='Landen' last='Griffith'] and he probably had the absolute best performance of week five. Griffith threw for over 500 yards and six touchdowns on 18-24 passing. He also added over 60 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Griffith was one of the best in the state last season in terms of production and he's picked up right where he left off. He's another true dual-threat quarterback that can produce at a very high level moving forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='1717571' first='Levi' last='Jensen'] - Senior Running Back - Sapulpa

Sapulpa has won their first two games in district play after opening the season at 1-2. Senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='1717571' first='Levi' last='Jensen'] has been a big part of what the Chieftains are doing on the offensive side of the ball and he had another terrific performance as Sapulpa beat Bartlesville 41-21 on Friday night. Jensen finished the night with 15 carries for well over 100 yards and was a touchdown machine. He got into the end zone four times on the ground as the Chieftains rolled to a 20-point win. Sapulpa is starting to pick up some important momentum moving forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='1299977' first='Peyton' last='Stelling'] - Junior Running Back - Verdigris

Verdigris went through a ton of growing pains last season but it seems like it's paid off as the Cardinals are 4-1 with their only loss coming by three points. Junior running back [player_tooltip player_id='1299977' first='Peyton' last='Stelling'] has been outstanding for the Cardinals so far this season. In their 20-14 win over Vinita Friday night, he punched the clock and put in a workhorse performance. He carried the ball 32 times for nearly 170 yards and a touchdown. He's been a player that's shown up on this feature a few times this season. He's performed at a high level and done it in several different ways.

[player_tooltip player_id='916843' first='Remington' last='Laughlin'] - Junior Quarterback - Mangum

Mangum junior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='916843' first='Remington' last='Laughlin'] is another familiar face on this weekly breakdown. The Tigers remained undefeated after beating Southwest Covenant 35-7 on Friday night. Laughlin was nearly perfect throwing the ball, finishing 23-26 for 324 yards and three touchdowns. This game was more competitive than the first several games that Mangum has won this season. Laughlin didn't back down from the elevated challenge and he completed nearly every pass. He's having a terrific junior season and has been lights out in 2025.

[player_tooltip player_id='472321' first='Ritson' last='Meyer'] - Senior Running Back - Elgin

Elgin senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='472321' first='Ritson' last='Meyer'] is firmly one of the best players in Oklahoma. That statement is not up for debate. So you could make the argument that Meyer could be on this feature every single week. He helped lead the Owls to a 54-7 victory over Elk City out in western Oklahoma on Friday night. He finished with 16 carries for 113 yards and three touchdowns. He also had a 70-yard touchdown reception. Meyer, in our opinion, is the absolute best workhorse running back in the state and he should get more attention from college coaches.

[player_tooltip player_id='1719591' first='Roman' last='Tucker'] - Senior Quarterback - Cushing

Cushing senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1719591' first='Roman' last='Tucker'] is making appearances on this weekly feature a very common occurrence. Cushing took down Grove Friday night, handing them their first loss with a 52-35 victory. Tucker was absolutely dominant on both sides of the ball and specifically on offense. He threw for a little over 350 yards and five touchdowns on 18-27 passing. He also added nearly 100 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries. Defensively, Tucker would finish the night with 15 tackles and an interception to have a complete performance.

[player_tooltip player_id='1703435' first='Syncere' last='Overton'] - Sophomore Quarterback - Del City

Del City lit up the scoreboard in Tulsa, beating Memorial 79-0 on Thursday night. We could have picked from several players for the Eagles as they had 70 points at halftime. But we're going with sophomore quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1703435' first='Syncere' last='Overton'] because he was another flawless dual-threat quarterback to watch Thursday. Overton put up some serious numbers in the pass game as well as a running threat. Overton missed the first few games and now that he's back and healthy, this Del City offense will have another explosive dynamic to defend.

[player_tooltip player_id='445315' first='Taven' last='Hayes'] - Junior Quarterback - Southmoore

Southmoore rolled to a 48-0 win over Lawton Eisenhower on Thursday night. It was a game where the starters would get out to a fast start and sat for the majority of the game. Junior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='445315' first='Taven' last='Hayes'] didn't play the entire game but when he was in the game, he was perfect. Hayes had a perfect night throwing the ball as the Sabercats are now 4-1 on the season. And in our opinion, they are another team to look out for in this 6A-2 west side district. Hayes and the Sabercats could make quite the statement in week six against Choctaw.

[player_tooltip player_id='449184' first='TJ' last='Bradford'] - Senior Running Back - Newcastle

Newcastle continues to roll as district play heats up. The Racers beat Midwest City with a 51-0 shut out on Friday night. Leading the way was senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='449184' first='TJ' last='Bradford'] and really, we could have picked a few different players from the Racers offense because they were on fire Friday night. Bradford finished with over 150 yards and three touchdowns on just 15 carries. Bradford is having an excellent senior season and in our opinion, he's one of the best running backs in Class 5A. And that statement shouldn't really be up for debate at this point.

[player_tooltip player_id='1161913' first='Wyatt' last='Atkinson'] - Senior Running Back - Perkins-Tryon

Perkins-Tryon bounced back from a tough loss to Sulphur by beating Mannford 63-6 on Friday night. The Demons were once again led by senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='1161913' first='Wyatt' last='Atkinson'] and he could not be stopped. He ran the ball 17 times for nearly 200 yards and three touchdowns. In fact, the Atkinson brothers each had big performances on Friday night. Wyatt's younger brother Westin had a good game at the wide receiver position. With Atkinson leading the way at running back, the Demons are going to be a tough team to beat out in Class 3A.

[player_tooltip player_id='1611983' first='Zion' last='Butler'] - Senior Defensive Lineman - Duncan

Duncan handed Southeast their first loss of the season when the Demons prevailed 44-14 on Friday night. When you look at the stat sheet, the Demons were dominant in all three phases of the game and had several players stand out throughout the night. But we're giving the nod to senior defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1611983' first='Zion' last='Butler'] after his dominant performance on the line of scrimmage. First off, he finished the night with four sacks, consistently terrorizing the Southeast quarterback. He also had ten tackles with three of them coming for loss. It was a dominant performance.
