enjoyed a breakout season last fall and comes into this season as one of the more experienced quarterbacks in Class 4A. Adams started showing signs he was the guy for the job as a sophomore and then became the full time starter during his junior season. We watched Adams in person back in February at our showcase camp and he was one of the best quarterbacks in attendance. Sallisaw has high expectations for Adams going into this season. They are still going to be a run-heavy team and Adams has the ability to do that as well. But the Sallisaw signal caller can slice up defenses with his arm. The Black Diamonds expect to be in the mix this season. Adams should be able to produce at a very high level this season.

emerged as Sallisaw’s QB1 during his sophomore season and last year he got to have a full year at the position and made the most of his opportunity. Adams is a terrific run threat but he also got to showcase his ability to push the ball downfield and he really emerged as a true dual-threat quarterback for the Black Diamonds. If he’s healthy all season, we could see him being a guy that throws for 1,500-2,000 yards and adds 1,000-1,500 yards on the ground. We got to watch him in person at our showcase camp back in February and in a purely passing setting, he really showed the tools to make a lot of throws on a consistent basis.

is ready to be unleashed this season. He split time with Harris at the quarterback position last season and then he was really let go in their last three games of the season. On the year, he threw for a little over 800 yards and ten touchdowns. But well over half of his passing attempts came in those last three games of the season. Now, Adams looks to be the guy at quarterback and we think that Sallisaw could become very balanced on that side of the ball. They have to find some new playmakers at wide receiver for Adams but they have a few guys to keep an eye on. It wouldn’t be surprising to see Adams become one of the breakout QBs in Class 4A this fall.
