is a very intriguing prospect when it comes to the next level but we’ll start off by saying we wouldn’t bet against him. Kirby has shown steady improvement over the last three seasons and has led the Spartan offense with near perfect execution this season. We’ve watched a lot of Kirby over the last four years through Friday nights in the fall and 7v7 tournaments in the offseason. He has a winner’s mentality and there’s a lot of his game that reminds us of Baker Mayfield. Now, he’s not as big but he plays the game with the same chip on his shoulder that has never left. It wouldn’t be surprising to see Kirby as one of the very best quarterbacks in this group in the next four years.

has seen a little bit of everything during the last few years. He has thrown for nearly 5,200 yards and 69 touchdowns in the last two seasons. Last year, his passing stats exploded but he also showed that he’s a threat in the run game as well. He ran for nearly 600 yards and five touchdowns and was second on the team in rushing. It wouldn’t be surprising to see him have that kind of production, if not a little better as we head into the 2025 season. Kirby has a ton of weapons around him and that could mean a monster season is ahead for the Spartan senior signal caller.

helped keep the Spartan dynasty going in 2024 with their seventh consecutive state championship and the tenth in the last eleven seasons. Kirby has one of the strongest arms in the state and as we saw in 2024, he is much more than just a typical pocket passer. That was his main role in 2023 when he debuted as QB1 of the Spartans. In 2024, we saw Kirby elevate his game and become more of a threat to run the ball, even though his bread and butter was still to pick defenses apart with his arm. As we start to look ahead to the 2025 season, Kirby could end up taking another step forward in his progression as a quarterback. He’ll be a third year starter for the Spartans and he’ll be the unquestioned leader of that unit.
