was one of several in-state prospects in the 2026 class to reopen his commitment after OSU head coach Mike Gundy was fired. McGlothlin committed to Oklahoma State back in March but he remains one of the top available prospects and in our opinion, he is the top available defensive prospect in the class. Since reopening his recruitment back in late September, more power four programs have extended offers. McGlothlin got his start making bone crunching tackles on special teams. This season, he’s a key part of the Spartan defense and he has a relentless motor that puts him in positions to make play after play. He should be a high priority for teams looking for a linebacker.

got his start on the Spartans as a special teams standout on the kickoff team. McGlothlin has taken that natural athleticism and tackling ability to the defensive side of the ball and has become one of the top linebackers in Oklahoma’s 2026 class. McGlothlin is committed to Oklahoma State and between McGlothlin and Nolan, the Spartans will once again have one of the best linebacker groups in the state. That has become a staple of this Bixby dynasty. McGlothlin would finish his junior year with 72 tackles. It’s not crazy to suggest that he will join Nolan with over 100 tackles on the year this fall. He’s also incredibly versatile with his ability on defense.

is the highest rated newcomer to the top ten in the 2026 class. In our last update, McGlothlin was knocking on the door but he kicked the door down. McGlothlin got on our radar early on in his high school career as a standout in various 7v7 tournaments. It was clear that he was incredibly athletic and had the ability to be a top prospect in this class. His junior season saw him emerge as one of the best defenders in the state and he settled into his natural position, which looks like an athletic outside linebacker. Since the start of his junior season, McGlothlin would see his recruitment absolutely take off, earning offers from all over the country. Now, McGlothlin is a name that you need to know moving forward and he has the potential to be one of the better defenders in the state when the 2025 season begins. He’s yet another Bixby prospect to emerge from the linebacker position.

emerged as one of the top prospects in the state’s 2026 class. We’ve liked his game since he was a freshman after watching him in countless 7v7 tournaments and camps in the offseason. Last year, McGlothlin caught our attention with his energy on special teams and this season, he’s emerged as one of the team’s top defensive players at a linebacker position. And Bixby’s linebackers are traditionally one of the best groups in the state, year after year. This fall, McGlothlin has also earned the attention of college coaches as he’s picked up a handful of power four offers. He also has a nose for the football, going into the last few weeks of the regular season with several interception returns for touchdowns.
