is a playmaker who finished with 52 receptions for 1,312 yards and 16 touchdowns in his junior season. He also brings legitimate speed to the position, running a 4.44 40-yard dash and a 4.09 shuttle. I had the opportunity to do a Friday Film Review on him this summer, and I really liked what I saw from him at wide receiver. He is a true playmaker who has the ability to make big-time plays whenever the football is in his hands. His route-running ability stands out, and he understands spacing concepts and how to find open windows for his quarterback. Once he gets the football, he has the athleticism and instincts to turn a routine catch into an explosive play. His combination of speed, route running, and ability to create after the catch makes him a dangerous weapon for the Jones offense and a player I’m excited to continue watching him out on the field.

OK
is on a one-way street to being one of the top wide receivers in the state and certainly in Class 3A this season. Last year, you saw flashes of Purvis being a game-changer at the wide receiver position. He finished with 52 catches and a little over 800 yards. But he also led the team with 15 touchdown receptions and the next player on the list had 7. Purvis was a big play guy for the Longhorns and we are fired up to see what he does for an encore. He tore it up at our February showcase camp and with the Longhorns bringing in one of the better quarterbacks in the state, he’s primed for a monster senior season.
