is the first of two new major additions to the Jones roster this offseason. Davis landed at Jones after spending the last two seasons at Crossings Christian. And he’s one of the emerging stars in the state’s 2028 class at the wide receiver position. Davis has a very unique skillset where he was successful in just about every position that Crossings put him in last season. His sophomore film is very fun to watch considering how many different things he did and did at a high level. Davis is also taking a lot of momentum into this season after having a terrific offseason on the 7v7 circuit.

jumped up 13 spots in this ranking update after debuting in our ranking update earlier this year. Davis spent his sophomore season playing quarterback for Crossings Christian but he’s definitely a WR prospect and has had a terrific offseason. Davis dominated two of our 7v7 tournaments and is continuing to make a name for himself. He’s moved over to Jones for the next two seasons and he joins a Longhorn offense that has all the potential in the world to put up some monster numbers in the passing game this season. Look for Davis to emerge as one of the more productive playmaking wide receivers in the state this fall.

Davis quietly established himself as one of the best receivers in attendance. Blending size, hands, and mismatch potential into a quarterback-friendly profile. His plus frame and expansive catch radius immediately created problems and he took full advantage of his opportunities.
What elevated him further was the quality of his hands. Davis consistently flashed some of the best ball skills at the camp, including difficult adjustments and highlight-level catch finishes. He isn’t just big — he’s skilled.
His smooth acceleration also gave him more versatility than expected for his build. Davis could move chains underneath, threaten vertically, and find spots with intermedaite consistently function as a reliable possession weapon. He looked like a problem for defenders lacking size or discipline.

is a very unique prospect to keep an eye on in the state’s 2028 class. He rounds out our top newcomers, checking in at #41 overall in the latest update. Davis played quarterback for Crossings last season, in his first year in the position. He projects to playing wide receiver at the next level but he also mixed in some work in the secondary as a sophomore. We have Davis listed here as a wide receiver despite his film being full of clips from the quarterback position. But when you throw on that film, you see a pretty solid athlete for just a sophomore. Davis has really good size, definitely checks the athleticism box and we’re looking forward to seeing him more in person in the near future. Davis could be a guy that’s knocking on the door of the Top 30 or 20 by the fall.
