Seven Major 2028 Stock Risers This Summer

Plenty of players were added and there were quite a few players that moved up throughout the ranks. We have several breakdowns on individual prospects coming up on Prep Redzone Oklahoma.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In this breakdown, we're putting the spotlight on seven prospects who made major jumps up the rankings from borderline top 20 overall guys that are now firmly in the top ten to prospects who moved up 20-30 spots in the ranks. All seven of these guys have their stock arrow pointed straight up. In our last ranking update, Clark was one of the top stock risers and he's there again this week. Clark jumped up 18 spots to #5 overall and is knocking on the door of the top spot along the offensive line. Clark has had a fantastic offseason in just about every aspect. He's improved his game and P4 colleges have been noticing. He's received quite a few offers since the last update. And when we caught him in person earlier this month, he was an absolute monster on the line of scrimmage. This time around, he's jumping up 13 spots to #8 overall but taking over the top spot along the defensive line. We can't say enough good things about Mathis' game right now and he's the perfect example of a stock riser from this offseason. Six months ago, not many outside of Enid knew about Mathis but he got on our radar with some solid sophomore film. He then was a dominant prospect at one of our showcase camps and has continued that momentum this offseason. He jumped up nearly 20 spots to #24 overall and he's now the #3 running back in the state's 2028 class. We could not be more impressed with Sango when we watched him a few weeks ago at team camp. The Tigers have three legitimate dudes at the running back position and Sango is going to have a chance to be the best of the bunch. His vision and overall shiftiness makes him an absolute nightmare for opposing defenses. Davis spent his sophomore season playing quarterback for Crossings Christian but he's definitely a WR prospect and has had a terrific offseason. Davis dominated two of our 7v7 tournaments and is continuing to make a name for himself. He's moved over to Jones for the next two seasons and he joins a Longhorn offense that has all the potential in the world to put up some monster numbers in the passing game this season. He went up 41 spots to #37 overall and is now the #5 running back in the 2028 class. Stubblefield had a really strong sophomore season with the Tigers and we were impressed with his production. But we got to watch him in person back in the spring at our second 7v7 tournament and that vaulted his stock after seeing the physical frame and playmaking ability to go along with what we saw from him as a traditional running back. Peterson is a 2028 prospect that has been on our radar since he was still in middle school. We've been able to watch him at various 7v7 tournaments and showcases and now, we think that he's ready to step into the spotlight this fall. You could see flashes of what he could do last season but he had a terrific spring on the gridiron and on the track. Backus moved up 25 spots in the latest ranking update. The Piedmont power back was incredibly productive last season and put up big numbers in Piedmont's option attack. We got a chance to watch Backus in person during Piedmont's spring game and he broke some long runs that definitely showcased the speed element, which has been consistently improving. But Backus is that prototypical power back that you can rely on to carry the ball and make defenses really work to get stops.
