We answer the question, which schools dominate our rankings/watch list sin North Dakota? As you can imagine, there are plenty of schools in 11AAA with large lists but there are certainly some powerhouses in 11A, 11AA, and 9-man that have a solid list of prospects as well. We dive into the numbers by school and the prospects that represent each school on our 2027 ND rankings.

Minot (9)

The most intriguing 2027 class by the numbers in this North Dakota 2027 class, hails from Minot the Minot Magicians who have nine on our rankings and watchlist as a program that does a great job getting exposure to their athletes based on conversations I have had over the past year. It all starts with new DB1 [player_tooltip player_id='1285223' first='Anthony' last='Alexander'] (10) who is an athletic spicemen that is super balanced in run and pass coverage with great sideline to sideline presence. Next, is WR [player_tooltip player_id='1287892' first='Tariq' last='Bell'] who checks in at #26 and is a wide receiver that the live evals have really done him some justice over the last 9 months as I love his twitch and how well he plays above his measurables. Rolling into the late 30s is newcomer [player_tooltip player_id='1626782' first='Logan' last='Ludwig'] who has great measurables and athleticism at 6'2 185 pounds that plays on both sides of the ball. [player_tooltip player_id='1287893' first='Dreyson' last='Gleich'] is a defensive linemen/athlete that has good position flexibility and has showed off promising live reps at summer camps last summer. Late on my radar as a newcomer in the mid-50s is James Pallota who is another two-way prospect for Minot that I feel could rise in this 2027 class by next update.

The watchlist for Minot includes four Magi including: DL/EDGE [player_tooltip player_id='1627089' first='Parker' last='Fritel'], LB [player_tooltip player_id='1626800' first='Jalen' last='Gunville'], DB [player_tooltip player_id='1289265' first='Leyton' last='Niland'], who showed some good athletic traits during my live eval in Minot last summer, OL [player_tooltip player_id='1625506' first='Teyan' last='Patterson'], who is raw at the moment in the live eval, but I liked the strides he has made with his attention to detail.

Bismarck Century (8)

The Patriots feature two linemen in our top 10 overall alone, with [player_tooltip player_id='1113077' first='Ian' last='Schweigert'] (#6) and [player_tooltip player_id='1292610' first='Peyton' last='Seil'] (#8) leading the pack. Just outside our top 30, you find a couple studs at running back in [player_tooltip player_id='1321181' first='Carter' last='Wylde'] #31) and Prep Redzone Dakotas Combine standout [player_tooltip player_id='1113086' first='Wyatt' last='Nelson'] (#32) who has put together some impressive testing numbers at our combine and college camps last summer especially in the 40 yard dash running in the low 4.6s. One that impressed me at the NDSU prospect camp last summer with his testing numbers and hopeful to get some tape soon on is wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1292609' first='Marshall' last='Arndt'], the little brother of Peyton Arndt who plays at Minnesota State-Moorhead.

Moving into the mid 60s, is [player_tooltip player_id='1625518' first='Josiah' last='Johnson'] at #66 who is 6'3 170 pound athlete that although the tape is limited, the upside is intriguing enough to become a riser in the near future. The same applies in the mid 70s with defensive back [player_tooltip player_id='1625515' first='Zakai' last='Harildstad'] who boosts the athleticism on tape. The Patriots also have for prospects that are "wait and see" targets on the watchlist which is athlete [player_tooltip player_id='1113081' first='Kamdyn' last='Rodd'] who showed off some promise at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Combine.

West Fargo Sheyenne (7)

The first Mustang on our radar is our TE1 in the 2027 class, which is [player_tooltip player_id='1625478' first='Landon' last='McFarland'] who comes in at #51 overall. Next at #60, is offensive linemen [player_tooltip player_id='1625480' first='Grayson' last='Mowery'], who already is 6''4 230 pounds and if his tape turns out similar to older brother in the 2026 class [player_tooltip player_id='1184870' first='Xander' last='Mowery'], he should be one that intrigues me in the coming year or less. Rounding out Mustangs on our top 100+ rankings is running back [player_tooltip player_id='1625479' first='Enoch' last='Orukotan'], who has intriguing vision, speed, and agile movement despite light tape.

The watchlist has four Mustangs including: WR Ryder Birnbaum, ATH [player_tooltip player_id='1314696' first='Landon' last='Hanson'], WR [player_tooltip player_id='1314752' first='Cayden' last='Smith'], and ATH [player_tooltip player_id='1315735' first='Ethan' last='Visness'].

Stanley (6)

The Stanley Blue Jays are trending upwards in this 2027 class, and feature two prospects in the top 20 alone. It all starts at #2 overall with DE/TE [player_tooltip player_id='1319906' first='Ben' last='Hynek'], who was offered by Wisconsin a couple months ago and surely will have a huge summer with I am sure more D1 offers coming his way. One of my favorite newcomers and our WR2 is 6'3 175 pound [player_tooltip player_id='1625946' first='Austin' last='Kanenwisher'], who has a huge catch radius, great athleticism and still great upside upcoming to keep growing in this class. A late add of newcomers in this 2027 class in North Dakota is our QB4 in the class which is 6'1 160 pounder [player_tooltip player_id='1626600' first='Kane' last='Reep'] who was one of my late bloomers when I put this rankings update together a couple weeks ago. Rounding out the rankings for Stanley is LB/RB [player_tooltip player_id='1625948' first='Kayden' last='Uran'], and probably one of the bigger risers by next update I'll admit, in [player_tooltip player_id='1625952' first='Hunter' last='Warta'] who I love his football IQ and pursuit angles at linebacker.

The watchlist for Stanley includes WR/ATH [player_tooltip player_id='1319908' first='Jevon' last='Johnson'], who has put together some intriguing basketball tape this winter so I am sure he will be a ranked target before long.

LaMoure-Litchville/Marion (5)

One of the deepest 9-man groups in the 2027 ND class, is 2024 state runner up LaMoure-Litchville-Marion with five on our rankings/watchlist. Their top dog starts off with DB2 [player_tooltip player_id='1320071' first='Colby' last='Thielges'], little brother of Gunnar Thielges who has his first offer already and Colby showed off intriguing pass coverage reps during my trip to the FargoDome for the 9-man state championships and the tape eval also really intrigued me as a newcomer in this 2027 class. Another Lobo that showed off his promise during the 9-man state championship game was quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1320074' first='Mason' last='Warcken'] who is our QB6 in the class. One that intrigued me at the NDSU prospect camp last summer is DL [player_tooltip player_id='1314654' first='Preston' last='Arndt'] who showed off quick attention to detail and quick development when I watched him in Fargo last summer and has a good upside.

The Loboes also feature two wait and see targets on our watchlist which includes: athlete Henry Lettenmeier and WR [player_tooltip player_id='1320073' first='Logan' last='Potts'].

Fargo South (5)

Although it was a down year for the Bruins in 2024, rest assured that they have some talented athletes in route in their 2027 class, with five on our rankings/watchlist. Their best prospect is TE/ATH Reis Kessel who checks in at #7 overall and has been a consensus top 7 target since this class launched. We also saw plenty of newcomers from Fargo South in this class, next with impressive defensive line [player_tooltip player_id='1314685' first='Kullen' last='Cooper'] (19). The Bruins have also two of the most intriguing twin brothers in their secondary, in [player_tooltip player_id='1625532' first='Chan' last='Ajak'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1625528' first='Madit' last='Ajak'] which rounds one of the better safety groups I have found in this 2027 class thus far in North Dakota. [player_tooltip player_id='1625531' first='Gabriel' last='Sanchez'] is another defensive linemen that intrigues me with his upside for the Bruins, as I said about a week ago I felt Gabriel was one or two plays away on tape from moving up quickly based on the reps I watched.

Kindred (4)

The newest member of 11AA might only have four prospects on our 2027 rankings, but man are they stacked. Two of their four landed in the top three, and three of their four land inside the top 20. The Vikings in this class starts off with consesus #1 overall prospect [player_tooltip player_id='1027991' first='Luke' last='Starcevic'] who is the most P4 ready target in this class with almost half a dozen offers already, and landing at #3 overall is one I am shocked doesn't have his first D1 offer yet, which is WR/ATH [player_tooltip player_id='1027992' first='Brooks' last='Bakko']. Just inside our top 20, is athlete [player_tooltip player_id='1566692' first='Myles' last='Thielges'] who has a excellent football IQ and is one of the more physical hitters in North Dakota.

Landing on the Kindred watchlist and destined to be ranked soon is athlete [player_tooltip player_id='1319854' first='Graham' last='Hesse'], little brother of [player_tooltip player_id='929969' first='Sawyer' last='Hesse'] who is on our 2026 rankings from the Vikings.
