Carter might be a little undersized at the moment for what college coaches are looking for, but you can’t deny that this kid has the explosive traits you want to see from the jump of his tape. Carter also is a difference-maker when it comes to getting seperation in the open field as I like how this young man finishes his long runs with no let up speed not shown. Another impressive skillset that Carter has is how sudden his burst becomes coming off contact, as he shows off as a fearless runner off of that contact. No reported offers as of yet and light on the interest side as far as I can tell.

. The 6’0 160 pounder is another speedster around the edges for the Patriots to depend on as Carter is another one on this list that you really see his full burst broaden at full speed once he gets to the second level. He’s also a weapon in the return game as I surely have seen Carter get more elusive from last year to this year between the tackles and took a step up with his great vision as well. Surely looks like one that can play on Saturdays in my eyes. Love the way Carter finishes his runs.

Carter is one I look forward to watching this Friday night in the 11AAA state championship game as a running back that has become an impact player for the Patriots offense in their run to the FargoDome. He’s got a lot of speed and burst to give and I feel is only just scratching the surface with how speedy he can be in the open field, yet still is a constant runner for good chunks of yards per carry. When Carter gets to the outside edge, that is when he can become a problem and I hope to see that vision open up on Friday night in Fargo.

Carter was a name that I recall catching my eyes at the NDSU camp a couple weeks back. Although he has some frame to grow out in the coming years, I like this kid’s upside he showed me in Fargo. Certainly caught my attention with his change of direction and the testing numbers I have from camp showed that off exactly from my notebook. This Patriots backfield is certainly going to be one to follow in this 2027 class, as Carter checks in as RB4 in our first 2027 rankings update.
