One of the biggest storylines coming out of North Dakota State’s first prospect camp of the summer comes out of a home state prospect on one of NDSU’s best-developed position groups: the offensive line. Bismarck native and Bismarck Century High School rising senior Peyton Seil was on a tear coming into Fargo, fresh off an offer from North Dakota a day earlier at the Fighting Hawks’ prospect camp in Grand Forks, and he showed up to the Bison’s camp ready to compete. Tough as nails, and with coaches all over him, especially the NDSU staff, Seil was a beast during both the board drill and 1v1 pass pro/rush reps. Moving mass with his dump truck leg drive, Seil was a very effective combination of raw strength and power, technique, and bend/balance, and he did a great job of firing out of his stance well for a big guy. Seil is able to gain depth while staying square in his pass set and could handle even the most explosive speed rushers in attendance at the NDSU FBS camp. He keeps hands and feet active, displays great patience in his strike and punch, and possessed the base to absorb and eat up power rushes from even the largest DTs in Fargo. Nimble feet, able to stay engaged with a DL throughout a rush, and able to impose himself physically at every opportunity. Most consistent OL/DL performer on the day from what PRZ saw. Seil, thanks to the performance, as well as his coachability, earned the coveted Bison offer and committed shortly thereafter. Roll Herd!

The North Dakota natives and prospects really did a good job of competing, improving, and battling during the first North Dakota Flagship Camp of the summer. The Bismarck product was impressive, effective, and showed nonstop leg drive in run blocking exercises, and he transitioned to 1v1 pass pro reps very effectively. Seil demonstrated excellent foot speed during 1v1 pass rush reps, and he was noticeably patient, maintaining strong body positioning and balance throughout a rusher’s rep, move, and potential counter. Seil can easily can handle twitch and power from an OG or OT spot and was strong enough to halt some defensive linemen right on first contact. Great combination of technique, physicality, and strength during the UND Flagship Camp. North Dakota, Minnesota State-Mankato, Minnesota-Duluth, Bemidji State, Sioux Falls, all offered after the camp!

. The 6’6 285 pounder is one offensive linemen from the Dakotas that you could not miss on the camp trail this summer or during the fall season. He took the OL MVP at the Wisconsin camp over the summer and has overwhelming hands, great pad-level and the finish you want your OL1 in a class to have. He certainly is the most balanced as far as skillsets in the 2027 ND class, as there isn’t many areas that Peyton does not excel at across the board in pass and run blocking schemes. Well-rounded is the best way to describe this young man as a offensive tackle that also adds position flexibility in the trenches if you need it but that right tackle spot looks like an ideal fit for the Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase alum.

of Bismarck Century in the 2027 class, cause like the Johnny Cash song, he was “everywhere, man” What did we saw from the rising 2027 offensive linemen in the 11AAA state championship game? I certainly liked the growth I saw from Peyton in pass-protection as the 6’6 285 pound big man only had one sack against him all season long on the Patriots offensive line. Another skillset I saw growth from Peyton aligns with his length. Obviously with that size Peyton has a long wingspan, but I felt his striking ability generated more strength than what I saw over the summer, which was another bright spot in his climbing ceiling. He has a great chance to drop into our OL1 conversation for his play this fall in the ND 2027 class.

last Friday against Fargo Shanley. The big fella logged seven pancakes and allowed zero sacks against the Deacons pass rushing efforts. The mix of skillsets that Peyton showed off in Week 1 show off why we have him ranked as a Division 1 grade out of Bismarck Century. His tape starts off with not only the nastiness you want to see early on tape, but also shows off how Peyton has developed as an angle blocker. His second clip shows the fluid hips that Peyton has continued to develop this summer which add sound technique and pad-level as he controls the point of attack into the second level. The consistency you see on tape with his angle blocking shows off a quicker first step as don’t be surprised if Peyton rises into the top five overall with our next 2027 rankings update.

I had heard about Peyton from our Dakotas scout leading into the event, so it was great to see him stand out to me once the event started rolling. Peyton is now up to 6’6″ 310 lbs and is already looking like a college OL. I saw Peyton at the center position in battles and he crushed it. He has an anchor with power that matches his big frame. Seil stood up a lot of DL with that anchor and his ability to play with a low pad level. Almost every rep I watched Peyton did a great job with his hand placement on his opponents too. Big things are ahead of this kid.

, who yet again did some damage with the live eval this winter at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase. The college coaches I talked to, also verified they liked what they saw out of Peyton as the balance across the board from feet to hands intrigued plenty of folks with this kid which is probalby why he has landed so many camp invites already this winter. The tape shows plenty of consistency with what we saw in the Deen, has Peyton shows off a fluid punch that I love how well he finishes his blocks nearly every rep as the pad-level too is super balanced with his drive blocks. Peyton is also one the best angle blockers in the Dakotas in this 2027 class, as the 6’5 285 pounder is one I like as a Division I target.
