Zakai could play on either side of the ball at the next-level as the length he has at his disposal translates well in my eyes as a free safety. He’s one that is rangy that I feel can cover a lot of ground in the limited DB tape that is out there. Surely should be a sound weapon on both sides of the ball for the 11AAA state runner ups in the 2025 season with his senior season upcoming. A three sport athlete that has a lot of athletic upside yet to show off this offseason and into his senior season.

Zakai is a a defensive out of Bismarck Century that right now might not be a finished product, but the athleticism pops out right away on the multiple game tapes I have watched. This young man shows off the fluidity with his footwork that is intriguing and is even better showing off his vertical and great placement on deep routes which is a credit to his football. He appears to be versatile too in the secondary as he has seen reps at safety as well. I would love to get a grasp on where his wingspan numbers would be at camps this summer, as man is he polished when he reaches for the ball. With hopefully a highlight tape being put together, I love this kid as a riser in this class.
