This last name surely should ring a bell if you have followed the Loboes as closely as I have over the last few years and LLM’s Colby Thielges Colby Thielges DB LaMoure-Litchville-Marion | 2027 State ND is another one that I expect to move the needle up our rankings and have himself a great summer at camps. He gets it done on both sides of the ball with excellent seperation ability and fluid is a fluid route-runner on the offensive side. Colby also shows off high energy as a route-runner, especially when he changes direction, as one that persistently burns wide receivers no matter where he’s lined up in the receiving core. I have him rated as a defensive back, but honestly if I were a college coach, I would surely take him at either spot with the defensive back spot being slightly higher from an upside perspetive.

This last name might ring a bell to those that follow NDSU Bison football, as there is another Thielges brother on the loose waiting for their first offer from LaMoure-Litchville-Marion. If you are looking for a deep threat wide receiver that can get seperation on vertical or horizontal routes and can play on an island as a safety, Colby could be a fit on either side of the ball for your program. The 6’0 185 pounder is a great athlete that is slippery with his change of direction as I can’t wait to see what his pro agility time looks like at camp this summer as he certainly shows off to be explosive. I have him rated as our DB3, but he surely could be an athlete on either side of the ball, but surely I like the production at wide receiver.

We should get a sound live-eval of Colby tomorrow afternoon in the 9-man state championship as the 6’0 185 pounder is an impact player for the Loboes on both sides of the ball. On both sides of the ball, you will see a prospect that is fluid as a route-runner and only picks up juice and longer strides once he reaches that second level if not slightly before. Defensively is where Colby moves the needle even more as the instincts are evident when he is around the ball as he looks like a great safety fit at the next-level level that I look forward to watching around Noon tomorrow in the FargoDome.

Each time I watched the tape today on LLM quarterback Mason Warcken Mason Warcken 6'1" | 180 lbs | QB/LB LaMoure-Litchville-Marion | 2027 State ND , I caught the attention of his main wide receiver on tape Colby Thielges Colby Thielges DB LaMoure-Litchville-Marion | 2027 State ND as there was a lot to like about this young man not only as a route runner but his sound hands. Colby is a wide receiver that you can tell has a high football IQ as he knew where the seams were and also showed he can take the top off the secondary with his athletic ability. I had Colby graded last update as a defensive back, and he’s not skipped a beat on tape, as a downhill flyer to the ball with great suddenness getting off blocks to get there.
