A lot of our PRZ Dakotas subscribers watch baseball, hockey, and other sports enough to know that there are situations when prospects get called up to the majors. We take a similar path with our Watch Lists here in the Dakotas, as the watch list is a place for prospects of names we know, but maybe are not as visible as they should be on tape, etc. When they get "called up" in our case, it means that they have done enough on tape to be more marketable as a next-level prospect. With this first group fo Call Ups, we take a look at five prospects that caught our attention and some I already love the possiblity of moving them up even further by next update.

Garrit is a defensive tackle that from my eyes could play either three spots on the defensive line at the next-level out of Parker. He boosts good upside with the athleticism he boosts at the point of attack with his hands and has growing short area vision as a run stopper. He's one that also appears sudden off the snap with his release, as Garrit still has room to develop when it comes to his pass rush moves. Where his strength lies is how well he attacks the edge of his defender as it stuffs him thru with his strength to get downhill. TWITTER

One offensive linemen that I am sure will rise his stock over the next 6-9 months is [player_tooltip player_id='1320882' first='Nathan' last='Fieber'] out of Deuel, as an OL prospect that I should probably have had a little higher. The 6'1 235 pounder boosts strong leverage that extends into the second level, as I also am impressed with how much his pad-level and footwork have grown since we first got him on our 2027 SD board. That footwork shows also has good fluidity when Nathan moves ahead as a pulling-guard on the Cardinals offensive line. He's nasty at the point of attack as a puller, as one of the Cardinals most promising next-level seniors in my eyes.

The second Jarding we have had on our recruiting board in recent years from Hanson, is 2027 athlete [player_tooltip player_id='1293158' first='Radek' last='Jarding']. Don't let his size fool you, as Radek is great with his vison in the A-gap slowing down the run and doing so with physicality you might not expect. He plays with a chip on his shoulder not only as a linebacker, but also as a blocker on special teams as the way this young man lines up to smack a defender with sound attention to detail regardless of size, shows me that Radek could be a jumper in this class that has a good chance to be a small school fit at the next-level. TWITTER

Tucker is another 2027 athlete in this South Dakota class out of Florence-Henry that onthe offensive side of the ball is a threat in the Falcons backfield. He boosts great first-second level vision that it's impressive how much seperation he is able to get so early in his runs. He might not be the biggest running back out there, but he's much more durable than you might expect on tape especially the deeper down the field he gets. Another South Dakota prospect I have a small school college grade on out of this class.

Surely one of the harder hitters out of this group in the 2027 South Dakota rankings, is another Deuel Cardinals athlete which is [player_tooltip player_id='1320865' first='Gavin' last='Maaland']. Gavin is a two-way asset to the Cardinals as one that really knows how to play downhill with a full head of steam. He has an impressive twitch out the gates as a route-runner, that shows that there is more athleticism to be seen within his route-tree heading into his senior season as he surely looks like a great fit for a slot-receiver at the next-level at a college program somewhere in the Dakotas. There too is position flexibility to see in my eyes at that next-level.
