who won it this winter in Aberdeen. Kullen hit the weight room from our Spring to Winter showcase adding over 15 pounds of muscle so I can’t wait to see where he ends up for this upcoming camp season. The 6’2 235 pounder also added a ton of explosiveness off his first step and a more balanced plethora of pass-rush moves at his disposal. Roll the tape and tell me you are not looking for a defensive end that finishes his tackles with urgency and physicality nearly every rep he gets.

DL MVP
I had Kullen in my top-tier of defensive linemen at our last Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase and it did take long to see he was one of the best in attendance at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase this winter. The 6’2 234 pounder showed off a 6’4 wingspan and had zero issue using it to his advantage during the 1v1 reps I watched. I loved watching too how coachable he was with Northern State defensive line coach Jake Iery as anything new he got coached on it seemed like he was able to apply it to his reps very quickly. He also ran a 4.56 shuttle and 7.51 on the L-drill which are impressive numbers to see at his size from a testing perspective. I felt Kullen has gotten more natural with use of hands as a pass-rusher and it showed off vividly in top performer 1v1s as Kullen will be a mover up our 2027 ND rankings out of Fargo South.

of Fargo South. Kullen shows that his hands have gotten quicker in his junior season with getting off blocks as one that when he got on our ND 2027 rankings last year, we loved the upside and that development is showing. Even when he was just a couple seconds off to get the ball carrier for a tackle for a loss the tape shows the timing aligned for Kullen to persistently get and find the ball carrier with the first yard or less on first contact. The 6’2 220 pounder I can tell you has a lot of length left to give with his size and surely fits the bill as a defensive end at the next-leve.

Kullen is one that was in my top-tier for defensive linemen at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase last Spring and put together an impressive Week 2 tape against Fargo North. The Bruins 2027 defensive end is getting smoother penetration getting downhill to the ball and it’s evident that Kullen is learning how to utilize his range with his long frame that sits within our top 20 in the 2027 class. I can also tell from last Spring that Kullen has gotten swifter with his hands and its clear that against Fargo North that he could overwhelm the offensive linemen with that skillset and others.

Kullen was a 2027 prospect that I was fired up to get a live eval on as the tape he showed off from his sophomore season was fasinating in my eyes. The 6’2 220 pounder from Fargo South, not only passed the eye test with me, but the college coaches I spoke with too and it’ wasn’t just the eye-test either that Kullen showed off last Saturday in Aberdeen. Kullen intrigued me right away with his bend athletic bend that showed off the length that I wanted to see in the live-eval. The long-striding off the snap was apparent in the clips I watched/recorded from Kullen as his sudden burst and pursuit angles projects nicely to the next-level as an EDGE rusher. There is plenty of room to grow out from a frame perspective with Kullen, and that should certainly intrigue the college coaches out there already recruiting the 2027 class. Kullen is surely a upwards trender in what is a deep defensive line class in North Dakota

A 2027 defensive linemen that intrigued me from our last update that will be in Aberdeen on Saturday, is Fargo South’s

. His tape is on the lighter end, but watching his quick twitch off the snap at 6’2 220 pound looks impressive in my eyes. I can gauge that Kullen surely has a quick game-speed and is still figuring out how instinctive he is when getting off his blocks. A 2027 prospect that landed inside our top 20 overall as a newcomer last update, that’s best game is ahead of him and we hope to see glimpses of it this weekend.
