MVPs
O’Neal is having a fantastic offseason with Prep Redzone MVP, top underclassman honors at the Elite 11 and MVP of the Under Armour Camp.
His release is textbook and early in the day when a lot of quarterbacks were sailing throws due to the wind, O’Neal’s passes were crisp and his spirals were tight.
The ball placement during one-on-ones was excellent and his stock is on the rise.
Mitchell was one of the more undersized quarterbacks at the camp but he had impressive arm strength and was leading receivers all day.
He came early to throw with the running backs and showed impressive touch on deeper passes.
Highlights
OTHER TOP PERFORMERS:
I was excited to see Smigiel since he didn’t attend the Elite 11 the week before.
His arm strength is good and his release is tight. Everything he does is smooth and nearly every throw I saw him make was in the right place.
Hannan looks bigger than when I saw him in the fall and he was delivering strong throws every rep I saw him in.
The ball comes out of his hand nicely and he was hitting guys in stride.
Madden is another guy who didn’t compete in the Elite 11 so it was nice to get a fresh look at him in person.
He excelled on the short routes and was hitting guys in the flat with strong throws in good spots. His spiral was tight despite the weather and he put the ball in spots where the defensive back had no chance to deflect the pass.
Tyler Lewis
Tyler Lewis
Lewis was a guy I hadn’t seen before and he had a lot of zip on his throws. He looked good from the pocket and when rolling to his right. In a field of strong quarterbacks who are rated higher than him, he blended in nicely.
RECEIVERS
MVPs
Bell was drawing the attention of all the scouts at the event and won a ton of the one-on-one matchups I saw him in.
He made super difficult catches near the sidelines look easy and made catches with defenders blanketing him. Bell was an easy MVP choice on his home field.
Highlights
Ploog passes the eye test with his size and during one-on-ones very few defenders covered him well.
He high points the ball well and knows how to use his length to make catches when he is well-covered. His route running is good and made some tough catches look easy.
OTHER TOP PERFORMERS
Henry is arguably the top prospect in the 2026 class and it’s easy to see why.
He has a lengthy stride and moves fluidly. I saw him blowing past some quality defensive backs but had to deal with some under-thrown balls. Henry is as good as advertised with some room to grow.
Rosenthal is the favorite target of his quarterback Brady Smigiel Brady Smigiel 6’4″ | 175 lbs | QB Newbury Park | 2025 CA and it’s easy to see why.
The pair connected a ton during the one-on-one period and during that time I didn’t see Rosenthal lose a rep.
He ran a 4.53 laser time and is a freaky athlete for a guy his size. Rosenthal is one of the guys where the film backs up the insane numbers he puts up. He is one of the more under-recruited players I’ve seen recently.
Highlights
Brown looks bigger in person than I had anticipated it and changed direction quickly and easily.
He was catching everything and flies up the field for a guy his size.
Simpson performed well at the US Army Bowl combine a few weeks ago and he had a strong showing at the Under Armour Camp as well.
He has strong hands and made difficult catches in traffic. Simpson had one of the highlight reel catches of the day as well.
Highlights
Williams doesn’t drop anything and he really impressed me in the gauntlet drill by staying on the line throughout and showing impressive burst.
He one a lot of one-on-one reps and showed good body control near the sidelines.
Highlights
McNair was one of the better deep threats I noticed on Sunday and was getting open fairly easily with his speed.

DEFENSIVE BACKS
MVP
Robinson has a big frame and won MVP in a loaded field of defensive backs.
He tested well in the drills and uses his length in pass coverage.
OTHER TOP PERFORMERS
Castro was excellent during the one-on-one period and does a great job turning his head at the last second to locate the ball.
He is physical and can reroute receivers without drawing flags.
Ryan looked great on Sunday and earned praise from camp directors and scouts I talked to.
He has great ball skills as a corner and always seemed one step ahead of the receivers.
Highlights
Dixson is a great blend of speed and power. He can bump and reroute guys at the line of scrimmage as good as anyone and he can stay in the hip pocket of receivers down the field.
He has added some muscle since I saw him in the fall and he was definitely in the running for MVP.
Lockhart is long and does just about everything really well. He earned a lot of praise from coaches in the individual drills.
In one-on-ones, he was deflecting balls left and right and I didn’t see him lose a rep during the period.
Lockhart was one of the few players to earn an invite to the All-American game.
Adonyss Currie Adonyss Currie 6’3″ | 170 lbs | DB Quartz Hill | 2025 State CA is flat out fast and you can see it during drills and one-on-ones. He reportedly had the fastest 40 time of the day and no receiver could get past him with their speed.
He has good ball skills and has developed nicely. Currie also earned an invite to the All-American game.
Purnell flashed impressive speed during the one-on-ones and was in the pocket of receivers consistently on deep balls.
He also had a knack for turning his head at the last second to locate and make a play on the ball. Purnell has a ton of upside.
Johnson was making plays on the ball during the one-on-ones and was making ball calls for other defensive backs on the day.
I loved him supporting the other defensive backs which is not a common thing to see in competitive camps like this. He is young and can add some muscle, but he played well in the one-on-one reps I saw with him.
Jackson is on the smaller side but he gets out of his breaks well and closes on the ball quickly.
I saw multiple reps where he was defending underneath routes and he closed to the ball quick enough to deflect passes that were automatic completions against some other defensive backs.
