Olsen was re-offered by Utah St. following his decommitement from San Jose St. in December. San Diego’s top available wideout finished his high school career with a state championship and as one of the most prolific WRs in county history. He totaled 900 yards and 12 TDs on 53 catches as a senior. Olsen’s recruitment is one to track over the next few weeks as we close in on spring Signing Day.

Olsen completed his official visit with San Jose St. after locking up the 7v7 Spartan Shootout championship with Lincoln. The 6’2”/195 WR is one of the top wideouts in the county with his D-I combination of size, speed, and technical prowess. He led all San Diego receivers last season with a massively productive 74 catches for over 1,200 yards and 15 TDs as a junior for Del Norte. Olsen- who’s picked up offers from Penn, Montana St., and Georgetown in recent months- transferred to Lincoln where he’ll pair with the top 2025 QB in the state,

A lot of defensive backs at the event played press man coverage and tried to reroute receivers with their physicality.
Nobody could reroute Olsen because he used his strength and quick arms to break loose. He is strong and physical when the ball comes too and can make tough catches in traffic.
Olsen has solid speed too and can create separation. It’s easy to see why Washington State, Cal and others have offered him.

Olsen picked up three of his first four D-I offers in the past month from Cal, Oregon St., and Washington St. (Colorado St. offer in 2023). Olsen was one of San Diego’s most productive wideouts as a junior totaling 74 catches for over 1,200 yards and 16 TDs in Del Norte’s run to the D3-AA regional. He’s developed a well-rounded WR skillset showing focused technique in his route-running, commitment/physicality as a run blocker, and noticeably improved speed/athleticism from sophomore to junior year. Olsen’s an ascending prospect who’s stock and talent level will only continue to rise over the coming months.
