The Chargers found themselves in a shootout with Clinton but Bass would not be denied as Heritage Hall avenged their only loss last season. Bass threw for over 350 yards and five touchdowns on 15-20 passing. He also added over 100 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. And he did all of this while missing the second quarter with a thumb injury. When the OU running back commit was on the field, the Chargers could not be stopped","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["916911"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"Moore senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='916911' first='Cam' last='Hayes'] had a solid night as the Lions would stun Norman in the final minute. He ran for over 150 yards and two touchdowns but it was the last time he touched the ball that earns him a spot on this breakdown. The Lions scored in the final minute to make it 42-41 in favor of Norman. Instead of kicking the PAT and playing for overtime, the Lions handed the ball to Hayes and he would score the game-winning two-point conversion. Moore is off to a 3-0 start this fall and their offense has been clicking on all cylinders. They'll look to continue that as they head into district play.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["211555"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"On Thursday night, Choctaw returned to the field for the first time since the shooting incident ended their week zero game with Del City. The Yellowjackets immediately made up for lost time as junior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='211555' first='Cash' last='Williams'] scored on a 75-yard touchdown run on the second play from scrimmage. That would be the first of several big plays from Williams on Thursday night. He finished with just over 100 passing yards and then added nearly 200 yards on the ground with two rushing touchdowns. And his passing yards could be different because there were a few passes that were toss ups on forward or backwards.","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["988901"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"Edmond North senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='988901' first='Dev' last='Mathews'] is near the top of the list when we looked at the very best performances in week two. The Huskies put up over 50 points as they beat rival Edmond Memorial on Friday night. Mathews would set a few school records as he could not be stopped in the win. He ran for 377 yards and six touchdowns on 35 carries. What's really impressive about what Mathews did is where he was the first few weeks. Mathews had to miss time in their first two games while dealing with cramps. But on Friday, he was ready for a massive workload with 35 carries and he produced at a high level.","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_4_player":["584313"],"_player_evaluations_4_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"Claremore jumped into the top ten in Class 5A after knocking off Bartlesville in week one. In week two, they found themselves in a shootout with Oologah but the Zebras had too much firepower on offense to be contained. Wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='584313' first='Gage' last='Deckard'] finished the game with 260 yards receiving and four touchdowns on just seven catches. The Claremore passing attack was on fire on Friday and despite Oologah putting up a lot of points, they weren't going to be able to keep up with Deckard and the Zebras. We knew Claremore was going to be a dark horse to watch in 5A this season but they are off to a hot start.","_player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_5_player":["311986"],"_player_evaluations_5_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_5_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_5_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_5_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_5_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_5_evaluation":"2A's top-ranked and defending champion Washington faced off with Jones in a rematch of last year's semifinal round. The Warriors continued their dominance against other ranked teams early on in the season as they rolled to a victory. Junior running back [player_tooltip player_id='311986' first='Hudson' last='Howard'] had another strong performance in the victory. He finished with nearly 150 yards and five touchdowns but the Longhorns made him work for everything he got on Friday. We've mentioned a few times already how Howard was a player to watch this fall as he tried to replace Cole Scott from last year's title team. There hasn't been a drop off with Howard toting the rock.","_player_evaluations_5_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_6_player":["379243"],"_player_evaluations_6_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_6_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_6_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_6_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_6_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_6_evaluation":"Class A's defending champion Fairview is off to a 3-0 start and junior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='379243' first='Jax' last='Bernard'] has been tough to contain so far this season. Bernard put up some strong numbers as a sophomore as he led them to a state championship. But this season, he's taking his game to new heights in the passing and running game. On Friday, Bernard threw for just over 300 yards and four touchdowns on 30-41 passing. He also added nearly 100 yards and a touchdown on the ground on 13 carries. Bernard has put up some monster numbers so far this season and we're not sure anyone is going to be able to contain him this fall.","_player_evaluations_6_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_7_player":["432374"],"_player_evaluations_7_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_7_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_7_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_7_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_7_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_7_evaluation":"On Friday night, there was a highly anticipated match-up in Muskogee as the 6A-2 #1 Roughers hosted 5A's #1 Carl Albert. And in the rare 1 VS 1 match-up, it was Carl Albert prevailing behind a stellar performance from OU commit [player_tooltip player_id='432374' first='Kevin' last='Sperry'] at quarterback. Sperry would throw for nearly 300 yards and three touchdowns on 15-19 passing. He also showed off that he can tuck the ball and run as he finished with over 50 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Sperry finished the game with 10 consecutive completions as he showcased his accuracy against a tough Muskogee defense on Friday.","_player_evaluations_7_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_8_player":["988903"],"_player_evaluations_8_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_8_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_8_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_8_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_8_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_8_evaluation":"Out in western Oklahoma, Weatherford got a big win over an El Reno team that was ranked in Class 5A. The Eagles have won two games in a row after falling to 4A's #5 Newcastle in week zero. Junior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='988903' first='Stone' last='Chism'] carried the Eagles to the win on Friday night. He ran for four touchdowns on the night but the final touchdown was the most important as he ran it in with just under 30 seconds to play to clinch the 28-26 victory on Friday night. Chism and the Eagles now shift their focus to another 5A ranked team. Elgin comes to town on Friday and they'll provide the toughest test yet this season.","_player_evaluations_8_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_9_player":["428958"],"_player_evaluations_9_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_9_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_9_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_9_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_9_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_9_evaluation":"In another high-scoring affair, Locust Grove would outlast Adair and sophomore quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='428958' first='Titan' last='Hix'] gave us a reminder of just how dynamic he can be on the offensive side of the ball. Last season, Hix was one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in the state and he had another good performance in week two. He threw for nearly 300 yards and three touchdowns while also adding well over 100 yards and four touchdowns on the ground. Hix was the top option in the running game as he finished with an eye-opening 29 carries on the night. Hix is going to keep Locust Grove in a lot of games this season.","_player_evaluations_9_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":10,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-64fdff2e19c10"} /-->
OTHER NOTABLE PERFORMANCES

Austin Hardwick - 2024 Quarterback - Pocola

Pocola really flexed their muscles on offense as they put up a lot of points in a week two win over Spiro. Pocola has won two in a row after an upset loss in week zero.

[player_tooltip player_id='1324239' first='Carlos' last='Hardeman'] - 2026 Quarterback - Classen SAS

There were a few sophomore quarterbacks in the OKC area that were a part of record-setting performances. The first is Classen's [player_tooltip player_id='1324239' first='Carlos' last='Hardeman'] Jr, who put up over 500 passing yards and seven touchdowns. He also added three touchdowns on the ground as he shattered a few school records in the process.

[player_tooltip player_id='434614' first='CJ' last='Turnbull'] - 2026 Quarterback - Millwood

Speaking of sophomore quarterbacks in OKC, Millwood standout [player_tooltip player_id='434614' first='CJ' last='Turnbull'] and the Falcons absolutely hammered rival Douglass on Saturday as they would put up 81 points in the win. Turnbull threw for well over 300 yards and six touchdowns on 11-18 passes. The Falcons bounced back from a tough loss to Heritage Hall.

[player_tooltip player_id='386658' first='Devin' last='Alexander'] - 2024 Running Back - Norman

Norman fell short to Moore in a heartbreaker in week two but senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='386658' first='Devin' last='Alexander'] had an outstanding night. He ran for nearly 300 yards and six touchdowns as he accounted for nearly all of Norman's points in the shootout. Alexander and the Tigers now look to bounce back against Stillwater in week three.

[player_tooltip player_id='353415' first='Elijah' last='Thomas'] - 2025 Wide Receiver - Checotah

Checotah junior wide receiver and OU commit [player_tooltip player_id='353415' first='Elijah' last='Thomas'] has been red hot to start the 2023 season. He had another stellar performance as he had just over 100 yards and a touchdown receiving as well as a punt return for a touchdown. In Checotah's first three games, Thomas has accounted for nine total touchdowns.

[player_tooltip player_id='154217' first='Garret' last='Wilson'] - 2024 Quarterback - Oklahoma Christian School

Oklahoma Christian School senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='154217' first='Garret' last='Wilson'] is one of the more experienced quarterbacks in the state. He's been starting since his freshman year and he had another strong game Friday. He threw for just over 350 yards and four touchdowns on 18-29 passing as OCS prevailed on Friday night.

[player_tooltip player_id='955229' first='Holden' last='Kee'] - 2024 Quarterback - Yukon

We mentioned back in August following a scrimmage that Yukon was going to have a big bounce back year and senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='955229' first='Holden' last='Kee'] was a big part of that. He showed why as the Millers beat defending 6A-2 champ Stillwater. He threw for over 150 yards and ran for just over 100 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the win.

[player_tooltip player_id='110743' first='Kordell' last='Gouldsby'] - 2024 Athlete - Bixby

There's no doubt that Bixby is an absolute machine and they have several players that can shine bright on any given week. But senior standout [player_tooltip player_id='110743' first='Kordell' last='Gouldsby'] is a special talent and he showed again why. He ran for a touchdown, caught a touchdown, took a punt back for a touchdown and had an interception on defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='393974' first='Rodney' last='Fields'] - 2024 Running Back - Del City

Once again, Del City senior running back and Oklahoma State commit [player_tooltip player_id='393974' first='Rodney' last='Fields'] could not be stopped as the Eagles knocked off rival Midwest City. Fields is having an outstanding start to his senior season and nobody has contained him yet.

[player_tooltip player_id='806158' first='Trey' last='Bennett'] - 2025 Quarterback - Woodland

Woodland quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='806158' first='Trey' last='Bennett'] was a player that we had circled coming into this season as he moved over to quarterback. He also added 42 yards and a touchdown on the ground as well as interception on defense.
