joined Broken Arrow after two seasons at Locust Grove. Hix will not only have a new team but he’ll be moving positions. Despite being a very successful quarterback over the last three years, Hix is moving to tight end and he brings that physicality to a position that demands it. Hix has a strong arm but he’s also been just as dangerous when he tucks the ball and runs. We got our first look at Hix playing tight end during the spring and he certainly passed the eye test. And if Broken Arrow runs into a problem with an injury at the QB position, Hix is about as good as it gets for a “break in case of emergency” quarterback.

continues to be arguably the most underrated prospect in the state’s 2026 class and we have no idea why that is. Hix has been an absolute monster since his freshman season at Hennessey and he’s continued to put up monster numbers during his last two seasons at Locust Grove. Hix is an absolute tank in the backfield at the quarterback position and is just as comfortable throwing the ball as he is running the ball. He’s a true dual-threat weapon but make no mistake about it, he’s not just an athlete lining up at the quarterback position. One D2 college coach watched Hix in a throwing session and just shook his head and said Hix was probably not a player they could land. He’s an absolute stud and should be recruited at a higher level.

continues to be one of our favorite prospects in the state’s 2026 class. He put up monster numbers as a freshman, when he was at Hennessey and has continued to do just that in his last two seasons at Locust Grove. Hix is the true definition of a dual-threat quarterback when you look at the numbers. He’s thrown for over 2,300 yards and over 20 touchdowns while also adding over 1,000 yards and over 20 touchdowns on the ground. He’s put Locust Grove in a position to be one of the highest scoring offenses in Class 3A this season. And we’ve watched him work strictly as a passer and as one college coach put it, he’s going to be playing on Saturdays at a high level.

is that guy and he’s going into his third season as a starter. He was a breakout player during his freshman season at Hennessey and he had a solid first season under center with Locust Grove. Hix is a complete dual-threat quarterback and he’s just as dangerous throwing the ball down the field as he is when he tucks the ball and runs. He put up some good numbers during his first season as QB1 but Hix is looking to take that next step. Every time we’ve seen him in person, he’s been absolutely lights out.

Out of all the quarterbacks in the state’s 2026 class, there hasn’t been another quarterback that has been more productive in the stat department than

over the last two seasons. First, Hix was a breakout star during his freshman season at Hennessey. Hix would move to Locust Grove last offseason after his dad took the head coach position of the Pirates. The Locust Grove sophomore would have another solid season in the passing and rushing department. Now, Hix looks like he’s ready to continue to show the state why he’s one of the top quarterbacks in the state. When we saw Hix in person last month, he was slicing and dicing different defenses that day.

might be the most productive of the bunch. He was one of the best freshman quarterbacks in the state at Hennessey and then had another strong season in terms of production last year after making the move to Locust Grove. Hix has an absolute cannon of an arm and can make a 50-yard pass look effortless at times. Hix has also shown the ability to tuck the ball and run and he’s been just as productive in the running game as he’s been throwing the ball. Hix has been a quarterback we’ve written about since his freshman season and it’s clear that his ceiling is incredibly high. He’s only going to get better and he already has several tools to be successful.

continues to hold on to the top spot amongst the quarterback group in the 2026 class. Hix is a quarterback that really impressed us last season when he was at Hennessey as a freshman. From his first start, Hix made it clear that he was going to be a player to watch. Hix made the move to Locust Grove this offseason as his dad took over the head coach position in eastern Oklahoma. It’s certainly been an adjustment and the Pirates have struggled this season. But Hix has still led a Locust Grove offense that has been improved and he’s once again putting up strong numbers as a passer and a runner. Hix really impressed us and a few college coaches in attendance at our last camp.

gave us a reminder of just how dynamic he can be on the offensive side of the ball. Last season, Hix was one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in the state and he had another good performance in week two. He threw for nearly 300 yards and three touchdowns while also adding well over 100 yards and four touchdowns on the ground. Hix was the top option in the running game as he finished with an eye-opening 29 carries on the night. Hix is going to keep Locust Grove in a lot of games this season.

can do in his first season with the Pirates. Hix threw for over 2,500 yards and 26 touchdowns and then he also added over 1,000 yards and 20 touchdowns on the ground. As a freshman, Hix was a dominant playmaker with the air and ground game. From the very first game of the season, Hix was putting up massive numbers. We got a chance to see the 2026 quarterback at a camp earlier this season and he was outstanding. We think he has the chance to be one of the top quarterbacks in Class 3A this fall.

and he’s the top-rated quarterback for the second straight ranking update. Hix debuted in the top spot following his freshman season last fall at Hennessey. He’s moved to Locust Grove as his dad took over the head coaching position in eastern Oklahoma. Hix put up some absolutely monster numbers last season both throwing the ball and running last fall. The production Hix had last season was without a doubt the best production from any of the 2026 prospects. The Locust Grove signal caller also came to our camp back in April and ran away with the MVP award for quarterbacks and again looked the part when the pads came on last month at the Rejoice Christian team camp. We’re very excited to see what Hix can do now that he’s at Locust Grove and seeing a slight bump up in competition, going from Class 2A to Class 3A. And we’re very intrigued to see what his production looks like this fall.
