Lincoln Christian running back Braeden Baker Braeden Baker 5'11" | 185 lbs | LB/RB Broken Arrow | 2027 State OK has taken another step forward this season and he’s an interesting prospect to follow in this class for a few reasons. First off, Lincoln Christian is one of the most dominant teams in the state. The amount of plays Baker has played in the second half is lower than anyone on this list. Then you throw in the fact that he’s splitting carries with one of the top running backs in the state’s 2028 class and it’s clear that Baker doesn’t have as many opportunities as other players on this breakdown. But throw on the film and look what he does with the reps that he gets and he’s a player that belongs near the top of the RB position.

Junior running back and defensive back Braeden Baker Braeden Baker 5'11" | 185 lbs | LB/RB Broken Arrow | 2027 State OK is coming off a breakout 2024 season. He would run for nearly 900 yards and 17 touchdowns while also adding nearly 400 yards and four touchdowns receiving. And Baker’s performance in the state championship game in 2024 was arguably the best of his career. We’re looking forward to seeing how he can build on that momentum into the 2025 season. His growth from the beginning of the 2024 season to how it ended was noticeable. He’ll be splitting time at running back once again but we won’t be surprised if he ends up being Lincoln Christian’s top option in the running game.

Lincoln Christian running back Braeden Baker Braeden Baker 5'11" | 185 lbs | LB/RB Broken Arrow | 2027 State OK was on our radar shortly after his freshman season. He first impressed us at one of our camps and then had a solid offseason and came out strong in 2024. He emerged as arguably Lincoln Christian’s most consistent running back from start to finish. Now, the Bulldogs have been no strangers to playing two or even three different running backs so Baker had to make the most of his carries in 2024. He certainly did just that, helping Lincoln Christian go undefeated and win the state championship for the second consecutive season. Baker’s progression as an overall athlete is what stood out the most to us in 2024. We watched him in person for their second game of the season and then at the end, during that state title game. He didn’t look like the same player and we’re excited to see what jump he makes in 2025.

Lincoln Christian running back Braeden Baker Braeden Baker 5'11" | 185 lbs | LB/RB Broken Arrow | 2027 State OK is a sophomore that has definitely taken the next step in our eyes as a running back this year. But it’s also hard to really evaluate Baker because he’s playing on one of the more dominant teams in the state and they spread the love within the backfield. The Lincoln Christian sophomore leads the team in carries but he’s only had one game this year where he’s had double digit carries and that was the exact number. His season-high this season is ten carries in a win over Heritage Hall. But from what we’ve seen of Baker, he’s definitely shown improvement.

Lincoln Christian had two different running backs go over 1,000 yards on the ground last season. Both have graduated and the Bulldogs need to reload in the running game. We anticipate the Bulldogs to use multiple guys at the running back position. But one of those guys could end up being sophomore Braeden Baker Braeden Baker 5'11" | 185 lbs | LB/RB Broken Arrow | 2027 State OK after we got a chance to watch him a handful of times this offseason. Baker was one of the running back standouts at our camp in January and then he had a solid spring at the team camp in Claremore. Baker isn’t going to have to do it all by himself but we expect him to have a breakout season for the Bulldogs this fall.

Lincoln Christian’s Braeden Baker Braeden Baker 5'11" | 185 lbs | LB/RB Broken Arrow | 2027 State OK is yet another example of a running back that could enjoy that breakout season this fall. He performed really well at our camp back in January. He followed that up by looking the part when the pads came on in May at one of the team camps. And Lincoln Christian loses their top two rushers from last season. Baker is in a spot to get more touches this season and if he takes advantage of them, he could be one of the top running backs from a production standpoint in Class 3A. All the signs point to that right now.
