will be going into his second season as QB1 of the Tigers this fall. Last year, Ssetimba enjoyed a breakout season. He threw for over 2,400 yards and 23 touchdowns while completing 66 percent of his passes. The Broken Arrow signal caller also added nearly 300 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground. This spring, Ssettimba was in a battle to keep his role as QB1 and would come out on top. And when you look at this Broken Arrow offense, there is no doubt that he’s going to have some outstanding weapons around him. From a solid offensive line to what feels like endless playmakers at the skill positions, Ssettimba could be primed for a monster 2025 season.

As much attention as the defense will get this fall, the quarterback position will as well. It looks like junior

is going to get the nod at QB1 for the Tigers this season and after seeing him in person multiple times this offseason, we’re looking forward to seeing what he can do. Broken Arrow’s signal caller a year ago was a guy who could impact the game throwing or running the ball. We watched Ssettimba this offseason on the 7v7 circuit and he definitely has a strong arm and can put the ball where it needs to be. But a 7v7 tournament is much different than under the lights on a Friday night. Ssettimba will look forward to proving himself this season.

is the first of the two quarterbacks that played for TheUNIT Platinum this weekend. Ssettimba is a QB prospect that we’ve seen plenty of clips online but we haven’t gotten a chance to watch him up close and in person for an extended period. That changed this weekend and we were impressed by the variety of throws he could make. Ssettimba impressed us on Saturday during pool play when he was taking what the defense gave him and never tried to force things that weren’t open. Another thing that impressed us was his accuracy down the field. And on Saturday in particular, Ssettimba was on the move a lot, rolling left and right and that accuracy rarely dipped.

Another quarterback who is currently listed under the “Watch List” tag but could end up having a very high ceiling is Union freshman

moved over from rival Jenks. And when we checked Union out at various passing league nights, Ssettimba would also impress. But like all three quarterbacks on this breakdown, Ssettimba would be lower on the depth chart in 2022 because of a potential star ahead of him. So we don’t have much to go on when it comes to his evaluation because of playing sub-varsity football in 2022 but we can go off that along with what we saw from him in person last summer. There’s definitely some potential there. And he’s definitely worth a mention and we’ll certainly be keeping an eye on him.

is going to have to wait for his turn as he’s backing up one of the better quarterbacks in an older class. For Ssettimba, he’s part of a Union QB depth chart that is absolutely loaded with talent. Right now, 2025 QB

is the starter and there’s no reason to think he won’t be QB1 for the next two seasons. But Ssettimba was a prospect that Union coaches were impressed with this spring and summer. The arm strength and touch he shows on his passes is definitely something that is impressive for a freshman. He’s also athletic and can tuck the ball and run when he needs to. But he seems to be a quarterback that uses his mobility to simply extend plays as opposed to taking off and running. It might be a while before we see Ssettimba really have an impact on the varsity level, but he’s a name to watch moving forward.
