And the final part of Del City’s “three-headed monster” is Oklahoma State commit Rodney Fields Rodney Fields 6'0" | RB Del City | 2024 State OK at the running back position. Fields has once again put up serious numbers throughout his senior season. He has nearly 1,400 yards and 20 touchdowns on the season. But the thing that we like about Fields coming into this week is the typical wear and tear. Fields has not had to shoulder the load because of sharing the backfield with Warren. He’s only averaging a little over ten carries per game. We expect that number will more than likely go up on Saturday with the state championship on the line.

Del City senior running back and Oklahoma State commit Rodney Fields Rodney Fields 6'0" | RB Del City | 2024 State OK has been one of the best players in the state from the first game of the year. We wrote about Fields quite a bit this offseason as he dominated in every 7v7 tournament and camp that we saw him. This fall, there hasn’t been a defense that has been able to contain Fields. The OSU commit has been lights out throughout the season and he’s going to be fun at the next level. But before he heads to Stillwater, he’s looking to finish off this season with a state title. He’s one part of the three-headed monster within the Del City offense.

There were three 20224 prospects that jumped into the top ten on this latest ranking update and Del City running back Rodney Fields Rodney Fields 6'0" | RB Del City | 2024 State OK is the highest ranked of the bunch. Fields is a borderline top five overall prospect and is right there in the conversation as the top running back prospect in the state’s 2024 class. Fields was really good last season and then he had a strong offseason at various camps and 7v7 tournaments. He would commit to Oklahoma State and has been loyal to the Pokes ever since. Fields also moved from Southeast to Del City and immediately made the Eagles one of the top teams in Class 5A this season. And from the first game of the year, it was clear that Fields was going to be one of the best players in the state of Oklahoma. Fields is going to be a must-watch player in the playoffs.

Oklahoma State commit Rodney Fields Rodney Fields 6'0" | RB Del City | 2024 State OK was one of the breakout stars of the 2022 season as he established himself as one of the top running backs in the state. He carried that momentum into the offseason and then it continued into the fall. Right from the start, it was apparent that Fields was going to be one of the best players in the state. It didn’t take long for him to land on the PRZ-Oklahoma Player Of The Year Watchlist and we’re fired up to see what he does against a McAlester team that prides themselves on defense. Fields has already put up some big numbers this season but this is an opportunity to do it again on a big stage in one of the bigger games in the state.
