Del City’s defense was incredibly productive as the Eagles had one of their best seasons in recent memory. They had multiple players with over 100 tackles and linebacker Aaron Carter Aaron Carter 6'2" | LB Del City | 2024 State OK was one of the better defenders on that unit. Coming into the 2023 season, Carter was a two-way standout as a linebacker and also spent time in the backfield as a running back. But Carter spent the majority of his senior season on defense at the linebacker spot. And that makes sense for him moving forward. He looks like a linebacker, plays like a linebacker and projects to the next level as a linebacker.

Del City senior standout Aaron Carter Aaron Carter 6'2" | LB Del City | 2024 State OK is one of the more underrated parts of this Del City team. At the start of this season, it looked like Carter would see more playing time on the offensive side of the ball. But throughout this season, Carter has emerged as one of the better linebackers on the team. And this is a Del City defense where the strength has to be at the linebacker position. Three of the top tacklers on the team are all at the linebacker position and Carter is one of them. Carter is a 2024 prospect that we think could provide a massive impact for the Eagles in the state title game against the Titans.

When you talk about Del City, it’s real easy to get caught up in the three-headed monster of Fields, Fields and Warren that moved in this offseason. But the Eagles were going to be one of 5A’s better teams prior to the move. Senior running back and linebacker Aaron Carter Aaron Carter 6'2" | LB Del City | 2024 State OK is a player that we think is flying too far under the radar in the state’s 2024 class. We got a chance to see Carter in person back in late August and he immediately passed the eye test. On offense, Carter is a great power back to give Fields some rest. And then on defense, Carter is a game-wrecking linebacker and he’s in the middle of a big 2023 season.
