This week, they hit the road again to face #7 Coweta for the district championship. The Eagles have been led all season by a dynamic offense that has multiple players that can beat opponents on any given night. And so far after one month of football, we haven’t seen anything to suggest he’s losing that title anytime soon. But Warren himself is an outstanding talent and is at that level. He had a shaky start to the season against Choctaw but he has bounced back in a big way in their last three games. Warren has been flawless, putting up big numbers and Friday’s game will be just another test.

There’s no doubt that Warren is going to have some weapons at his disposal so we’re very curious to see what kind of production he has this fall.

Warren is widely considered the top quarterback prospect in the state’s 2024 class and it’s really easy to see why. He’s got good size and can throw the ball all over the field. He had a really strong junior season and is coming into this fall with plenty of momentum. Not only has his recruitment picked up as plenty of D1 programs are looking at him, but he’s going to be QB1 for a Del City offense that has quite a bit of talent around him. Warren is going to have quite a few weapons to get the ball to this fall and he should lead one of the higher scoring offenses in Class 5A.

After two very successful seasons at Bishop McGuinness, Warren moved over to Del City this offseason and he’s one part of a three-headed monster on the Del City offense that could be absolutely potent this season. Warren is a very underrated athlete as well as he’s mostly known for throwing the ball all over the field. He does have the athleticism to make things happen with his legs when the play breaks down and it’s the only option. But with some of the weapons and overall speed he’s going to have around him, this could be a very big season for Warren and the Eagles in Class 5A. We anticipate that his numbers and overall production will go up and he’s seen his recruitment continue to get momentum this offseason as the state’s top ’24 QB.

And our final quarterback prospect in the state’s 2024 class is Bishop McGuinness signal caller River Warren River Warren 6'4" | 195 lbs | QB Del City | 2024 State OK . The McGuinness QB is once again holding on to the top spot at the position. And based on what we saw from Warren in 2022, there’s a very good chance that he goes wire to wire as the state’s top quarterback prospect for the 2024 class. Warren appears to have just about every tool in the book as a quarterback. We checked out Warren and McGuinness a few times throughout the 2022 season and Warren did play very well within the offense. We’re going to keep a close eye on Warren as we head into the 2023 season. Bishop McGuinness will be replacing star running back Mike Taffe Mike Taffe 6'0" | 190 lbs | RB Bishop McGuinness | 2023 State OK and Warren will have more of a role as a playmaker with the McGuinness offense. Warren’s ability to make just about every throw in the books is a big reason why he’s already being recruited.
