Tupou made the transfer over to Bosco from Nevada this off-season and should be a very nice addition to the defensive line unit. He is a bit undersized for the edge, but can play anywhere along the defensive front and is explosive and very twitchy with fluid movements in space and violent hands at the POA. He shows he can win with both speed and power, has quick hips at the top of his rush and redirect abilities while flashing a high motor and backside pursuit/quick block recognition when taking on pullers/defeating reach blocks. Only heading into his Junior year he will be one of the top players at his position in the Trinity league and a key new name to note.

The Arizona Commit proved why he is one of the top edge rushers in his class with the Pirates’ 34-0 win over Spring Valley last Friday night. Tupou dominated the line of scrimmage with 5 sacks video game as a sophmore. Tupou’s explosiveness off the line makes him hard to block.

Tupou has a big-time freshman season coming up with 16 sacks and committing to Arizona. There is a lot of hype surrounding Tupou this season, and we are excited to see how he does against Lowry from Northern Nevada.

Tupou shined at the UNLV camp, showing why he is the top edge prospect in his class. Tupou showed great explosion off the edge, as well as great hips to turn the corner in one-on-one situations against linemen. Tupou’s elite performance earned him his 6th D1 offer from UNLV after the camp.
