The St. John Bosco defensive tackle announced his commitment to Boise State on Sunday.
Peko had 30 tackles, three for a loss and 2.5 sacks in nine games for St. John Bosco last season.
He also had offers from Arizona, Michigan and Washington State among others. Peko is one of three players from California in Boise State’s 2027 recruiting class and the second defensive lineman.

Peko, a 6-4, 260-pound three-star defensive lineman, brings power and a quick burst off the snap, making him disruptive in St. John Bosco’s front. His strengths: Solid motor, ability to play inside or edge, and physicality that nets tackles for loss. With offers from Arizona and others, he’s versatile but his shorter arms (relative to elite DL) can be a weakness against longer tackles, limiting his reach in disengaging. To beat Fielder, Peko should attack with bull rushes to test Fielder’s anchor, using club-rip moves to exploit any high pad level, and countering with speed-to-power to collapse the pocket.

Peko is a true run stopper with a low hat, is athletic enough to two gap and can rush off the interior edge with closing speed and chest control. He does a nice job at taking in double teams, defeating reach blocks with playing long and has a variety of pass rush moves at his disposal already as a Freshmen. He is a candidate to enter into our rankings in the next update and should have a big time second season campaign for the Braves.
