Carrington was in attendance for USC’s 38-21 victory over Wisconsin this past weekend. The top overall prospect in Nevada’s 2026 class has continued to be a disruptive force on the defensive front-seven with 2 sacks and 15 tackles for his new team this season. Carrington holds 20+ Power Four offers.

James “Tank” Carrington is a monster DT to anchor the Gaels defense. Tank moves to Vegas from Georgia and looks to be a great addition for the Gaels this off-season. Tank is a monster in the weight room and can turn power into speed quick in the pass rush. Tank holds a ridiculous 30 division one offers and counting.

Carrington is built with a solid frame and looks college-ready now. It’s easy to see why he is the top class of 2026 recruit in Nevada.
He gets great arm extension on the offensive lineman and has good power rush moves from the inside. Carrington is a wrestler and you can tell when with his quick hands and explosiveness.

Carrington took over the #1 spot in Nevada’s 2026 class after transferring over to Bishop Gorman from Georgia. He’s a strong, powerful athlete at 6’2”/260 with game-wrecking explosiveness and physicality on the defensive front-seven. He dominates the LOS with an explosive first step and quick, violent hands to shed. He shows great lateral range in pursuit and relentlessly attacks the backfield to create negative plays. Totaled an eye-opening 15 sacks and 22 TFLs in Georgia last season. Carrington- who holds 30+ D-I offers- has picked up offers from Oregon, Florida, and Washington in recent months.

James Carrington James Carrington 6'3" | 270 lbs | DL Bishop Gorman | 2026 NV is set to take the field for the Gaels for the first time in 2024. James is already a nationally touted recruit, so don’t be surprised when he hits the ground running as one of Las Vegas’ top DL prospects this fall. The Georgia native recently received offers from Florida & Washington, and I would expect more west coast schools to come calling this spring. James’ next level range shows easily shedding blockers and chasing down ball carriers behind the line of scrimmage as a run defender. James shows a rare combination of size, power, and lateral quickness easily beating interior blockers as a pass rusher. James’ athleticism, strength, and explosive power suggests he has all the tools to be a versatile, interior pass rusher in college.

He’s a powerful disruptor on the front-seven that plays with elite strength, explosiveness, and athleticism on the inside. The 6’3”/270 DL racked up 15 sacks and 22 TFLs for Rabun Gap-Nacoochee (GA) as a sophomore last season and now joins fellow elite 2026 DL prospects
