Expert Analysis

George is the most physically imposing defender Iona Prep has, with a 6’5 frame. The Navy football commit had a dominant spring season with tons of offers and interest. In his Junior tape, he showed flashes of using his power and natural strength to impact the line of scrimmage, but I think there still is another gear to his game, especially as a pass rusher.

and making him uncomfortable all game will be a key for Iona Prep. George will be a big factor in their efforts to contain him. Against Chaminade, George had his way against the Flyers offensive line. He was quick off the edge and was able to use his hands and strength to get to the quarterback. He also showed off sideline speed to chase down the QB for a sack. George has had a terrific start and he’ll need to have a good game against a strong Friars offense.

Gabriel George looked like a man amongst boys at camp and could be the biggest winner of anyone there. George dominated the OL group and was the only DL to really give Malespin any trouble. George is a very top level athlete and it is only a matter of time until colleges line up for him. George has the highest ceiling of anyone at camp and displayed that with elite power, good refinement in his pass rush moves and hand usage, and elite quickness.
