Sangaray is a do it all freak athlete for Coach Spagnolo. As a prospect, he displays an elite IQ, allowing him to consistently make big time plays for his squad. He showcases good range and footwork moving sideline to sideline on every play. As a DB, he shows good range and body control, keeping and eye on the QB, and making plays on the ball.

Mamadee is a freak athlete. Freak. He can line up anywhere on defense and still make an impact on the play. He excels in the middle and on the edges. He’s a sound, aggressive tackler who’s an imposing defensive force. He’s the best tackler and the best at the line of scrimmage of anyone on this list. His tackling and athleticism are both easily college football level, I’d love to see him improve upon his ball skills to become an even more complete player. If he’s able to line up out wide at corner, become more comfortable backpedaling and in phase, he can be the ultimate swiss army knife on defense. When he does have the ball in his hands he’s like a big runningback-he’s really tough to bring down.

Sangaray is the 4th ranked player in the 2027 Class, and the top ranked DB in the state. He currently holds 11 D1 offers from schools across the country, and for good reason. On tape, the Iona Prep athlete, displays some outstanding athleticism, along with blazing speed, and a high IQ, which allows him to drop into coverage, and become a deadly rusher. I am impressed with his coverage, especially his stickiness as a Man DB, where he allows zero separation, and wreaks havoc on opposing receivers.

Sangaray will blow up during his Senior Season, and with outstanding DB skills, and amazing athleticism, and a good IQ, it is no question as to why he is ready for the D1 level, and a future star in College.

Sangaray is a versatile Athlete for the Gaels, and against Monsignor Farrell, he was used at multiple different positions, and had a major impact in the Iona Prep win.

Sangaray is mainly a DB for me, but I like him at multiple positions. He was used in the backfield, where he displayed outstanding speed, and a good burst to break off a big run. In the Secondary, the Junior, displayed a good IQ, keeping the Farrell passing game to a low this season. Sangaray is a guy who impresses me at every Iona Prep game.

Sangaray had a nice run, where he displayed good speed, and vision finding the sideline, and staying in bounds for a big gain. On the defensive side of the ball, I liked his footwork, and Pursuit, he also had some nice tackles where he showed good form.

Sangaray is one of my favorite ATH to watch in the state. In a 58-48 win against Paramus Catholic, he left his mark all over the stat sheet, with 1 INT, 1 FF, 13 tackles, and an 87 yards Kick Off Return. His impact helped the Gaels remain the top team in NY.

Just a sophomore last season, Sangaray was one of the most dominant defensive players in the Empire State. He collected five interceptions as a true ball hawk and made plays in the biggest moments. He had multiple key touchdowns in huge games a year ago. Sangaray has the size and athleticism to make an enormous impact at the next level—Power Four schools are already knocking at his door.

Sangaray who is one of the top athletes in New York in the 2027 class picked up his first FBS offer from Minnesota – Sangaray plays mostly safety but realistically can play in a lot of spots because of his athleticism. He played sparingly as a Freshman, making his top 10 rankings sort of a risk but I have been really confident in his skills translating to a high level in college for a while now.
