Merlo was an excellent 2029 Prospect who made his way to Warwick to showcase his skills. The 2029 Iona Prep prospect can play on both sides of the ball. He showcased solid speed, ranking in the top 20 for the showcase.

Merlo was excellent despite the difficult conditions. he showcased good footwork, and was excellent in and out of jump cuts. I liked his ability to get a quick burst in open space. He showcased good focus in space, and had a few good routes in 1v1. He needs to create more space in the passing game, and make his routes sharper when used as a pass catcher.
