Expert Analysis
Cory Lemer | Prep Redzone Scout
Background: Reeves is one of two RB’s stepping into the spotlight for the top team as they lose UNC Commit Crew Davis. Reeves and Banks have big shoes to fill as they look to replicate the production Davis accumulated.
Measurables: Reeves stands at 5’7″, showing a growing but smaller height for a RB. His weight at 170-Pounds, is solid but he should look to improve his build as he progresses through High School.
Evaluation: Reeves is a talented back who played a ton of reps in the past two seasons with the Gaels. Reeves has limited film but showed good promise as a receiving back, and has solid hands that can make good catches when needed. He has good footwork and displays solid speed, but I need to see more from the Iona Prep prospect, and this season will be huge for the talented prospect.

Reeves is the next man up in the backfield for the Gaels, and he got some solid snaps during their win against Monsignor Farrell. I liked what I saw from Reeves, and without

next year, the Gaels are still in good hands.
Reeves, has quick feet, he has the ability to make cuts look effortless, and with a burst of speed. He is a fast back, and I like him at the second level, where he can takeoff on opposing defenses. Reeves, is on the smaller side, but he displays good strength for his size, and can find gaps with ease.

Reeves was the show-stealer on offense as a running back, but also did his thing as a middle linebacker for the NYC Elite. Has the traditional running back/linebacker build for this level, at 5-foot-7 and 170-pounds. Possesses a strong frame with broad shoulders and thick legs, he looked like a block in the middle of the field of the field.

Reeves was the workhorse for the NYC Elite squad, getting the ball early and often throughout the weekend. Strong, compact build with good balance. Can count the amount of times he was brought day by a single tackler, on just one hand.

Call it geography, but I saw a lot of similar traits in Reeves that I saw on TV in some former New York Giant running backs. In no way am I saying he’s on that level right now or even ever going to be that level, but the 5-foot-7, 170-pound back has a relatable skill set to 2012 first-round pick David Wilson and 2019 first-round pick, Saquan Barkley. Vision, compact build and loose gate, leading to quick gains on the ground.
