. Poole had an elite season, and saw a rise in his rankings after watching his tape. The 6’0″ 180-Pound DB, has an elite size for the position.
Poole can play across the Secondary, but I like him mainly at the Safety position, where he displays and elite vision, paired with a High IQ, that allows him to track the ball across the field. He has outstanding hands, and can bring in the ball with ease. The ball consistently finds Poole, and he constantly makes big time plays for the Gales. Poole is an elite playmaker.

This is a great opportunity to talk about what I mentioned in the introduction-Poole plays a totally different game from Vogel and Barner. He’s at his best when playing centerfield and he’s able to get after the ball in space. He excels at breaking on the ball and getting in front of receivers. He’s got a nose for finding the ball. In addition he’s still a solid tackler in space, not as dynamic and aggressive as a player like Vogel, but he’s got a rare combination of ball skills and comfortability at the line of scrimmage. Most DBs that mostly play the ball aren’t as comfortable playing close to the line of scrimmage and playing the run game, but Poole holds his own weight in that regard. He’s a DB without a weakness that is best when allowed to just attack the ball.

is an FS that knows how to move around the back end of the defense and bait QBs with a quick step. Likewise, Poole has fluid hips to change directions at a fast rate. That quickness was key when coming up to deliver power hits on the intended receivers. Likewise, he is not afraid to fight through blocks to make a tackle. If deep balls were thrown, Poole did have the speed and ability to defend on the back end. Regardless, he will turn his head to not draw PI calls.
