Looch Tarone Looch Tarone 5'10" | 160 lbs | QB Bergen Catholic | 2030 NJ , the Dreamchasers 15u signal caller and Bergen Catholic 2030 QB, showed why he’s a name to keep tracking after last weekend’s PRZ 7v7. His processing speed jumped out right away, consistently making quick decisions and getting the ball out on time. Tarone wasn’t afraid to attack tight windows either, driving passes in with velocity and confidence. While there weren’t many opportunities to see him stretch the field vertically, his command of the short and intermediate game steadily improved as the day went on. Even when a few throws got away from him, he was able to reset quickly and responding with sharper, more decisive reps.

2025 Youth Program: Silk City 14U/Spring Valley Hornets

NFL Comparison: Baker Mayfield (Cleveland Browns)

Tarone is coming off a 2025 season where he reclassed back from the class of 2029 to the class of 2030 and spent time with two teams. His comparison to Baker Mayfield is about as accurate as it gets when it comes to current NFL Quarterbacks, in my opinion. He can scramble and pick up yards if he needs to, but his pocket presence and arm are the attention-grabbers here. He can really sling it and deliver the ball on a frozen rope. Like Mayfield, he’s got a bit of gunslinger in him and has a ton of confidence in his ability to fit the ball into any type of window. He’s a self-reported 5-foot-10 and 160-pounds but I’m not sold on that based off his him. However, what I am sold on, is the fact that he plays the game with a dog-like attitude and isn’t afraid to bark to let people know.

Originally a 2029 prospect & entering HS off a reclass year in 2025-2026

After a 2025 season that saw him split time between Silk City 14u based of out of Patterson, New Jersey and the Spring Valley Hornets based out of Rockland County, New York, Looch Tarone Looch Tarone 5'10" | 160 lbs | QB Bergen Catholic | 2030 NJ officially has a new home on Oradell Avenue. The polished righty has excellent foot work in the pocket and has excellent touch on the ball. Tarone does a nice job of shifting his weight during throws and isn’t afraid to zip a ball into a small window if he feels he has a chance. He’ll have a ton of playmakers joining him on the outside as freshmen Crusaders next year, and points could be plentiful.
