In a capstone piece of the offseason, here is a look at the 26 breakout prospects in GA who will help tell the story of the 2026 season.

I've looped my way back to [player_tooltip player_id='1234800' first='Trey' last='Byrd'] several times this offseason and believe he has a good opportunity to emerge this fall at Douglas County. He is a big, true dual-threat option who does a fantastic job of creating space for himself to operate. He can roll in space and make an impact in the run game when given room to run. He has a long, smooth, whippy delivery and gets natural life on the football. I am expecting his stock to rise this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1136075' first='Luqman' last='Baig'] will get the starting nod this fall for Norcross. I have definitely seen positive growth out of him over the last few years, and there is still room to develop. He is an athletic, twitchy player who has really tightened up his movements, both as an athlete and as a passer. Everything is starting to come together, and the experience he gets this fall will be necessary for his growth.

Halevi was thrown into the fire at Milton last year and handled things in stride. Now, at North Cobb, he has complete control of the QB room. He is smaller, but an extremely smooth player with clean mechanics. He is a true dispenser of the football, both in and out of the pocket. He can touch each level of the field and manipulate his arm angle to bend the ball around defenders. Being thrown into action last fall surely helped things slow down for him, and I think that will be a storyline to track as a junior.

I will continue to beat the drum for [player_tooltip player_id='1595656' first='Ledger' last='Clements'], who has improved upon every exposure to him. He is a strong, well-built player with a baseball background. The kid can drive the ball with many highly recruited QBs in his class, putting whistling spin and velocity behind his throws. I am interested to see how he continues to rein himself in and add touch. If a few more parts of his game can come together, watch out. There are weapons around him to work with, too.

We got a glimpse at Brown and North Gwinnett's stable of RBs in their season-opening 37-22 win over Grayson. For the record, I had Brown labeled as a breakout pick before that matchup. He is a strong, stout, physical runner with impressive giddy-up for his size. There's not much to overthink here. He has bellcow features and will be leaned on at certain points this fall for North Gwinnett, who is a legitimate state championship contender.

Daniel flashed last night in the Corky Kell Classic against McEachern. I saw him this spring, where Kell coaches made sure I had his name down and labeled him as someone to watch this fall. He is a well-developed runner with the mass to shear off contact. His foot speed and twitch are also impressive. He picked up FBS offers during the spring, and his breakout should continue this fall, even as he splits reps with others in the Kell backfield.

Carrollton graduates a prolific rusher from last year's state championship team, meaning there are yards available, and Archer is the obvious candidate to soak up plenty of them. Archer is a stout, strong player with fiery footwork and impressive initial quickness. He fights hard for every yard he can get, a trait that is rare to truly flash in freshman RBs. Regardless of how Carrollton splits the action at RB this year, Archer should see an increased role and build some more buzz for himself.

I wanted to include a senior on this list, so Marshall gets the nod. Watching him in the Corky Kell classic, and even last year, tells me that he could be receiving some late D1 buzz here down the stretch. He is raw, but he is a big, long, lean receiver who offers a massive catch radius downfield. Perhaps even more intriguing is his ability to drive and get behind safeties. He will need some seasoning, but the general scaffolding of a D1 WR prospect is here

[player_tooltip player_id='1404813' first='Zamir' last='Jackson'] was another standout to me this spring at Kell, and someone who will surely get some action down the stretch this fall. P4 offers rolled in consistently all offseason, and it's easy to see why when you factor in his traits. He is a tall, long, lean player with truly impressive speed, especially in the short areas. He can impact each level of the field, and now it's time to turn those flashes into consistent production.

Keep an eye out for Barnes. This 2029 WR class is immensely talented, but Barnes has every chance to develop into one of the best out of Georgia. At 6'6 and with the natural reach he has, he is an obvious mismatch threat who will never line up across from someone bigger than him. On top of his size, the kid can roll, especially when he has the runway to use his long strides to lift off. Barnes has the attention of P4 coaches and will for the next several years.

While on the topic of a loaded 2029 WR class, [player_tooltip player_id='1308523' first='Jahlil' last='Page'] showed everyone what they can expect going forward with his impressive Corky Kell showing. He is a tall, but well-filled-out and broad-shouldered prospect He is a big target and an obvious size/speed P4 projection, but it's his physicality and ability to fight for positioning and the ball when it's in the air that really draws me in. He will have to share the workload with a plethora of weapons on McEachern, but make no mistake, he will flash.

Meintzer has been a late bloomer in a lot of ways, and is saving what should be his most productive season for his last. Whether or not he sticks at WR or moves to TE is the long-term question, but regardless, he is a physical mismatch and is a lot of human to run through if you want to get to the football or work him off his route. FBS coaches have entered the sweepstakes and are paying attention here. I expect several targets weekly for Meintzer, so the volume for him to contribute will be there.

It has been a meteoric rise for Landy this offseason, who now has major P4 offers under his belt. Regardless, this will be his first year truly in the limelight, so he will introduce himself to many this fall. There's a lot of pop athletically here, especially with room to bulk up and fill out. I love the hand placement, which he pairs with the drive in his feet to carry blocks. There's so much to like here, and he is only just getting started.

Jarrard is the younger brother of Notre Dame QB Teddy Jarrard, but he is going to make his own name for himself as a TE. He is a towering, well-built player at 6'5 215. He is raw, but he is a lean, well-paced athlete who is smooth in his routes. His development, at his size, will likely run him more towards a traditional, in-line option at TE. His first-step explosiveness and motor help him turn speed to power. He is a prototype player uniquely equipped to play the EDGE position at a high level. He is a long, lean athlete with the ability to bend and chase the football. He has some pop in his hands and can physically manipulate at the POA. He has all the tools to turn speed to power and make the most of his traits. He is a tall, lanky prospect with a basketball background. He has both the verticality and ball skills to attack and make plays directly on the football. He is raw, but has a nose for the ball and plenty of space to develop.

I saw Freeman headed into his freshman season. At the time, he had no buzz, and also at the time, I was extremely impressed with how he looked and moved for an 8th grader. That is typically a green flag in a players development, and he has surely made quite an impression, already holding his own as a premier DB prospect out of GA in the 2029 class. He will work both ways for North Forsyth. Either way, I am just excited to finally see him move into a big time role on varsity.

There are plenty of DBs to pick from in the 2028 and 2029 classes, but Hadley is someone I have specifically focused on in previous write ups. Hadley is a well-rounded player. He can carry routes vertically, but I really love the way he attacks downhill, especially at a lighter weight. He is versatile, but I think a home at safety long-term makes a lot of sense. There's a lot of young talent for Parkview to build off of, and Hayden is a headliner.

Austin, who has major P4 offers under his belt, is another obvious pick for this list. He has true prototype traits, coming in at all of 6'3 with the length provided by that height. He has the speed to carry routes, but is best when he can get his hands on receivers. He is suffocating in man coverage and a lot of human to drop the ball over. Austin is morphing into a premier player in the 2028 class and will be a lockdown corner for Sandy Creek this fall.
