I saw Freeman headed into his freshman season. At the time, he had no buzz, and also at the time, I was extremely impressed with how he looked and moved for an 8th grader. That is typically a green flag in a players development, and he has surely made quite an impression, already holding his own as a premier DB prospect out of GA in the 2029 class. He will work both ways for North Forsyth. Either way, I am just excited to finally see him move into a big time role on varsity.

At that point, there was very little to go off of, except for the fact that he was built better than most rising freshmen you stumble across. Fast forward to now, and he is firmly on the P4 radar and should be considered a top DB prospect in the state. His traits set the intrigue here. He is built well for his age, is a functional mover, and there are plenty of reasons to believe he will continue developing into a premier player.

One of the top young prospects in Forsyth County, Freeman is fresh off an impactful freshman season for the Raiders in 2025. He’s a sure-tackling defensive back who plays hard, wraps up properly, and played really well against quality competition. Consistently one of the youngest player son the field, Freeman didn’t play like one, playing with speed and instincts at 6-foot-0 195-pounds. Freeman secured 54 tackles in his first year to go along with one INT and five more pass-breakups. He saw a significant bump in the latest rankings update and should see some D1 offers come his way more and more over time.

A playmaking defensive back on the rise in Forsyth County, Freeman made an immediate impact as a freshman last year in the North Forsyth secondary, making plays down the field in coverage while showing he can wrap up securely and make a big tackle in the open field. He brings good size for his age at 6-foot-0 195-pounds with easy D1 potential. He made 54 tackles last season with one INT, one forced fumble, and five more pass-breakups. An impressive athlete who can also help on offense, look for Freeman to have a terrific second season for the Raiders next fall. Freeman will also be an easy addition to next month’s 2029 Prep Redzone rankings.
