Ruckert is coming off a highly productive all-region season and has tacked on several offers here headed into his senior season. He is a lean, active player who will project as a true LB when you factor in future growth, but he played as a big nickel this past fall. He has the length and athleticism to line up over receivers in the slot, and he made several plays on the ball in coverage. He is explosive downhill with impressive closing speed. He acts as a ball chaser, and as a result, he is all over the field and flashes at each level.

Jones broke out last year for Denmark, emerging as the guy at QB, a role he will hold into his senior season. Jones is a smaller, but athletic player who uses that athleticism to skip around the pocket and work off-platform. His delivery is quick, explosive, and he gets impressive initial jump on the ball out of his hand. He is capable of pushing the ball vertically, and he sprinkles in touch throws over LBs and under safeties. He will have to rein it in as a senior, but the flashes are enough to generate excitement here.

Louis was a top playmaker on defense for Forsyth Central a year ago, and he has emerged as one of the most serious candidates to play college ball on this team. Louis is a strong, true edge setter as a DE/EDGE, and I wouldn't count out an eventual move inside. The twitch isn't there to consistently be a prolific pass rusher, but that isn't his game. He is strong at the point of attack, which he pairs with the length to press blockers, shed, and wrap up ball carriers. Louis is a solid player on the edge who won't get bullied or washed out of the play.

Checketts was an all-region performer a year ago for Forsyth Central and will return to anchor their offensive front as a senior. At his size, he will project best to the interior, where he can use his natural ability as the low man. Checketts is quick off the line and has the functional athleticism to carry blocks to the second level and take on quicker defenders once he arrives. Most importantly, he scraps and plays hard at the point of attack, which is what he needs to continue doing to compensate for his size. He is certainly capable of generating small school love.

Gonzalez is coming off a breakout fall where he finished with over 800 AP yards for Lambert. He works both ways, but is an obvious WR projection. He hovers around 5'11 160, and for that size, he drives hard off the line and threatens vertically quickly. He plays with really impressive hands and focus through contact, helping him play bigger and more physical than his size suggests. Gonzalez is a really solid player who can make plays at each level of the field, which is where the intrigue starts here.

Hudson Lee was a first-team all-region player a year ago at LB, and returns as the leader of this Lambert defense. Lee is a stout, dense player with the play strength to instantly stall ball carriers at the point of attack. He leverages the ball beautifully and takes good angles as a tackler, which he pairs with a hot motor as a pursuer. He is an active player who finished with over 15 TFLs last year, a number he is well-equipped to push for again. A logical next step could be a triple-digit tackle season.

He is a lean, fluid athlete who plays with good instincts. He has a really good feel for the game and uses a smooth, natural pace to win with leverage and spacing. He is a lean player who runs hard and can pinball off tacklers. His ability to restart runs after contact is impressive. He is listed at around 6'0 195, and likely plays bigger than that now. He is a physical, strong player in the middle of the defense, evidenced by several in-person exposures to our scouts. He has room to get bigger, which he will benefit from if he sticks at LB long term. He is a naturally physical player at the POA thanks to his size, but he plays with better range than most players at his size. He flashes good ball skills, too.
Joseph comes in at a dense 5'11 225, and his size is about the only thing you can nitpick about his game, because he is a dominant player with splashy tape besides the fact. He is explosive off the line, uses his hands to keep himself clean, and has the combination of speed and bend to turn a corner and chase the football. Where exactly he will stick long-term is still in question, but regardless, the dude is a bottle of electric pass-rushing ability and can get after it from several spots.

Rojas has been a mainstay on the recruiting scene for a few years now and is the obvious X factor for North Forsyth. He is all of 6'5 215 with truly elite length. As one P4 coach put it, "There are maybe 5 players in the entire country that look like that". I would agree after seeing him up close several times. He is still raw fundamentally, but he is a traits winner who naturally wins with everything he has to offer. He has a lot of room to grow, and with some development at the college level, he has every chance to grow into a game-wrecking style player.

This kid moved into South Forsyth from Texas, and with several P4 offers under his belt, he immediately emerges as a premier 2029 QB in Georgia. He is a true dual-threat player who is built like an RB at 6'2 234. He plays like an RB, too, flashing the short area twitch to create and the size to phase through contact. Really loose passer with a long, but quick release. The ball comes out of his hand loudly and also arrives loudly. In many ways, this guy is an elite playmaker who immediately raises the floor of South Forsyth.

[player_tooltip player_id='2091159' first='Andrew' last='Spaulding'] looks next in line to fill that role and make it happen. Spaulding can win vertically, but he is a smooth mover and has plenty of juice as an athlete, which will give him the ability to work each level of the field. He is a strong breakout candidate this fall, and even if he plays at a program beneath the D1 level, he has obvious D1 traits.

White is a strong, physically manipulative IDL prospect who is an obvious candidate to find the field this fall. He holds the point and can create push with ease, but he is also a functional athlete with the hand fighting skills to box and keep himself free. Fast forward to now, and he is firmly on the P4 radar and should be considered a top DB prospect in the state. His traits set the intrigue here. He is a dense, strong player with a low center of gravity at 5'8. He has explosive, soft footwork and should naturally have good contact balance.
There is a QB competition over at West Forsyth this year, and whether or not McEvoy gets the nod this fall or not, there is still reason to pay attention here. He is listed at 6'0 165, but he is long and lean, so I don't think he is done growing. He is a smooth passer with a long, natural, quick release. The ball just looks good coming off his hand, and his touch is on display at each level. I think he could be an exciting player this fall if he gets the nod. There is plenty of talent around the QB position at West Forsyth to raise the floor of the room.

The Contenders

West Forsyth

West Forsyth has seemingly cracked the code of sustained success, and coming off a 10-win season and region championship a year ago is proof of that concept. This fall, they should be contenders once again. However, there is plenty of talent to replace, especially on offense. Gone is their leading passer, leading rusher, and top 4 leading receivers. They also lose a D1 OL prospect in Tim Hyrbu. Defensively, there are some losses, but they return more talent on that side of the ball. [player_tooltip player_id='1870896' first='Sullivan' last='Biggs'] was a near triple-digit tackler last year, and he is back as a junior. [player_tooltip player_id='1657857' first='Christian' last='Gaiter'] has emerged as a clear D1 prospect at corner.

Not all is lost on offense. Logan Hawkins and [player_tooltip player_id='2200089' first='Joshua' last='Morgan'] should form a solid RB duo. [player_tooltip player_id='2091159' first='Andrew' last='Spaulding'] has all the tools to emerge as a WR1. [player_tooltip player_id='2147907' first='Ethan' last='Davis'] will be moved around, and mismatches can be exploited with him.

Even with the losses, I am not expecting West Forsyth to take a massive step back, and they should be a main contender for the region crown, once again.

Denmark

Denmark rallied in region play last year and ended up finishing 2nd in the region, taking a step forward from previous years. Similar to West Forsyth, there are several names to be replaced here. However, continuity at QB here is important. Evan Jones had an up-and-down year as a junior, but with a year under his belt, there is reason to believe he should take a step forward and become a more efficient passer as a senior.

[player_tooltip player_id='2048630' first='London' last='Ruckert'] was a highly productive defender from a year ago, and he also doubles as the leading returning rusher. More than two players will need to step up, but the simple fact is that their two impact players on both sides of the ball are back.

The Darkhorse

North Forsyth

This region should get really neck and neck this fall, and North Forsyth certainly has the talent and ability to challenge anybody in this region. [player_tooltip player_id='993904' first='Cash' last='Martin'], who had over 800 receiving yards, returns as the top playmaker on offense from a year ago. They will have to replace a prolific senior rusher, but whoever emerges will get to run behind a physical offensive front anchored by [player_tooltip player_id='993905' first='Creighton' last='Wilkins'].

Defensively, [player_tooltip player_id='1586586' first='Adriel' last='Rojas'] is one of the top EDGE prospects in Georgia. [player_tooltip player_id='2202951' first='Mason' last='Freeman'], while young, has also jumped on the P4 radar. Their top 2 tacklers, Cole Simpson and Patrick Carnes, have graduated. [player_tooltip player_id='2126687' first='Ethan' last='Cahill'], who had 4 INTs as a junior, is the producer on the back end for the Raiders. Cahill doubles as a productive receiver. On both sides of the ball, North Forsyth needs their top guys to play like their top guys, and for some younger ones to emerge. Similar to West Forsyth, I am confident this team will find some depth and once again make a playoff push.

The Rest

Lambert

Lambert will be right in the mix here in this region. They will need to find a replacement for Ethan Daughtery at QB, Dylan Biehl on the OL, and for their top receiver. Still, 4 of their 5 leading rushers are back from a year ago, and Lukas Gonzalez/[player_tooltip player_id='1103444' first='Matis' last='Saint Jean'] are both capable of taking steps forward after emerging as productive receivers a year ago.

The returning talent on defense is what really sets the tone here. [player_tooltip player_id='2168316' first='Ife' last='Joseph'] is a true X factor and game breaker in the front 7. Right behind him, Hudson Lee returns as their leading tackler from a year ago, which gifts them two levels of impact players back from last year's squad. 5 of their top 7 tacklers return, their top 4 sack leaders from last year are back, and 5 INTs from rising seniors and juniors also return.

Not a whole lot of people are talking about Lambert right now, but they return plenty of production from a year ago and should compete for a top spot in this region.

South Forsyth

South Forsyth was a 2-win team a year ago and finished at the bottom of the region, but they have a lot to be excited about this fall. Brayden Hammonds has been their leading rusher for two years now, and he returns. Ollie Stark is a really productive player on defense and is also a productive returner.

[player_tooltip player_id='1595007' first='Khayel' last='Sam Fong-Talia'], a 2029 QB, moves in from Texas, and this is where things get really fun. He holds well over a dozen offers, including from programs such as Alabama and Notre Dame. He is a playmaker himself and should elevate the talent around him. Guys like this don't roll through often, and he has them equipped to push past their 2-win total from a year ago.

Forsyth Central

Forsyth Central finished with just 1 win a year ago and lost its top prospect in Max Haertel. Regardless, not all is lost, and there should be reason to expect them to improve their 1-win total from a year back.

Herley Louis, Taeden Checketts, and Franklin Omeka are a solid trio of prospects to build off of here, and all play in the box. You will learn a lot about the grit of this team early on, as they open the year against Creekview, a playoff team from a year ago.
