About Ethan

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Physical and versatile player who can impact the game on both sides of the ball. At tight end, I use my size, length, and speed to create mismatches in the passing game and block effectively in the run game. At defensive end, I play with effort and discipline, using my length and strength to set the edge, rush the passer, and pursue the ball. I take pride in playing fast, physical, and finishing e

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am coachable, disciplined, and focused on getting better every day. I take feedback seriously and apply it to my game. I’m a team-first player who brings energy and effort, and I stay consistent in my work on and off the field. I trust the process and stay mentally strong through challenges.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Active in church and community through youth and leadership activities. I serve on the Forsyth YMCA teen leaders club board. I am a member of the Wolverine Athletic Leadership Academy (WALA) where select athletes at West Forsyth foster character and accountability.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Strong leadership, teamwork, and accountability. I lead by example through effort, consistency, and preparation. I communicate well with teammates and stay locked in during practice and games. I’ve developed discipline through training, strength work, and balancing academics and athletics.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One of my biggest challenges has been continuing to develop physically and technically while competing against older and more experienced players. As a freshman, I’ve had to stay disciplined in the weight room, improve my technique, and stay patient with my development. I’ve used that as motivation to work harder every day, improve my speed and strength, and become more consistent on the field.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college program that values player development, strong coaching, and a competitive environment. I want to be somewhere that will push me to grow both as a player and as a person, with a strong culture, academics, and a team-first mindset.

Just a freshman, Davis held his own against older, quality players throughout the 2025 season. His talent and potential is easy to see and a big reason why he saw a significant boost in the latest 2029 Prep Redzone rankings. He has the potential to be one of the best pass-rushers in the area and his recruitment will likely pick up in a big way down the road.
