Clements has steadily gotten better over the last two years and has taken major strides forward physically. I think Clements has a chance to break out this fall, but he will have to do it against stiffer competition, which could be what finally gets his recruitment going.

He can push the ball vertically and works well on the move. He is fearless with the ball and has the arm to touch different levels. The next step in his development is to refine a bit down the field and get a better feel for trajectory. As far as drive ball throwing is concerned, I have always liked Clements, and he has another 2 and a half seasons ahead of him to continue refining.

He is explosive in the hips and has a tight coiling delivery, all things that allow the ball to jump out of his hand. He keeps his head steady as well. His ability to generate rotational energy and fire the ball with a tight, low trajectory impressed me when making short and intermediate area throws. You can trust him to fit the ball into tight windows.
