Ingram is a patient and physical corner with excellent hips and the ability to pattern match in zone coverage. When playing Cover 2, he gets hands on receivers to disrupt the timing of their routes and is an effective force player, triggering to tackle perimeter screens or runs at the line of scrimmage. He understands his role in coverage, never chasing routes into other zones and sinking under intermediate to deep routes when he has no immediate threat in the flat. Likewise, when playing deep third or in man, he doesn’t break up on short game or break coverage. Ingram also does a great job of playing through the hands of the receiver when the ball is in the air.
