An Atlanta-area cornerback with size and big-time potential, Austin was tested a lot down the field last year and consistently held his own, giving the state-champion Sandy Creek defense a dependable cover corner on the outside. He may be young, but the 6-foot-3 170-pounder was tough to create separation from last season and has a knack for finding the football and knocking it away. He’s also sound against the run and knows how to wrap up the ball-carrier. The Tyrone, Georgia native has earned recent offers from Kansas, South Florida, Miami, Florida State, among others so far this month. Don’t look for his recruitment to slow down anytime soon.
