There;s a lot of meat on the bone here for Vayens, who I think has a chance to develop into a P4 edge prospect. He flashed as a sophomore and should play an even bigger role as a junior. He is a long, lean player who has filled out some, but still has room to grow. He is a fluid athlete who proves capable of chasing the ball and working off both shoulders of blockers. I will be watching him closely to see how he develops at the point of attack.

A Cobb County EDGE defender who saw his recruitment really pick up this spring, Vayens is a pass-rusher on the rise at North Cobb who brings plenty of size and Power Four talent at 6-foot-3 225-pounds. A max-effort defender who can chase down the ball-carrier, Vayens is one of the top pass-rushers in the region for the upcoming season due to his length, burst, and ability to play multiple positions. The Acworth, Georgia native can attack the quarterback standing up on the edge or on the interior with his hand in the ground. Vayens was easy to add to the latest rankings update and is coming off a strong sophomore season for the Warriors where he made 32 tackles, nine TFLs and three sacks.

Vayens flashed as a sophomore and started to creep onto the radar, but I think he has more to give, and his true breakout should be coming up. He is a long, lean player with room to get bigger. He is a raw athlete who will add more explosiveness as he fills out, but he is fluid and light enough on his feet to work both shoulders of blockers and pursue the football. He is picking up some buzz now, but he should only get better and creep more and more onto the radar.

Another sophomore pass-rusher on the rise who shows a good motor when chasing down the ball-carrier, Vayens is coming off a strong 2025 season where he made 32 tackles and nine TFLs to go along with three sacks. Playing on an extremely talented North Cobb defense, Vayens held his own and really shined for someone in their second season. He brings good size and easy Power Four potential at 6-foot-3 225-pounds and should be one of the region’s top pass-rushers as a junior in 2026. He’ll be an easy addition to the next 2028 Prep Redzone rankings this summer.
