Vayens flashed as a sophomore and started to creep onto the radar, but I think he has more to give, and his true breakout should be coming up. He is a long, lean player with room to get bigger. He is a raw athlete who will add more explosiveness as he fills out, but he is fluid and light enough on his feet to work both shoulders of blockers and pursue the football. He is picking up some buzz now, but he should only get better and creep more and more onto the radar.

Another sophomore pass-rusher on the rise who shows a good motor when chasing down the ball-carrier, Vayens is coming off a strong 2025 season where he made 32 tackles and nine TFLs to go along with three sacks. Playing on an extremely talented North Cobb defense, Vayens held his own and really shined for someone in their second season. He brings good size and easy Power Four potential at 6-foot-3 225-pounds and should be one of the region’s top pass-rushers as a junior in 2026. He’ll be an easy addition to the next 2028 Prep Redzone rankings this summer.
