Ward continues to impress with his speed. He recently finished Top 4 at the Purple Hurricane Invitational with an 11.15 100m in his 1st ever high school event. Prep Redzone is no stranger to Wards speed. He was the fastest guy at our Middle School Combine last Spring with a 4.57 40. I’m not sure his official height and weight right now but last Spring at Camp he was a solid 5’9 171. The former B2C RB of the Year saw action last Fall on the North Cobb freshman team at returner and RB. Good upside potential with natural speed and could eventually star at multiple skill positions at the Varsity level.

Ward’s speed potential is through the roof. At our showcase this past offseason, he clocked 4.57 in the 40 and tested well across the board. He is also a track athlete. Ward is only going to get bigger, which should allow him to adjust to the varsity game very well. He is a speedster who needs the ball in his hands, which could allow him to find the field in some capacity as a freshman.

4.57rnThe 5’9 171 North Cobb ATH logged the fastest time at the Camp with a 4.57. Ward also ran the fastest time in the March tryouts for the GA Future Stars game among all participants.
Solid frame for a rising 9th grader and has the potential to standout at multiple positions on both sides of the ball in high school. Played RB, DE and LB on a North Cobb 8th grade team that won the GMSAA championship.
Multisport athlete that excels in the 200m. Received the B2C RB MVP earlier this Spring. Great upside potential and will be one to follow over the next 4 years.

His performance at last spring’s Prep Redzone Next Middle School Camp in Georgia, put Ward on my radar. He followed it up by being a key contributor on the Georgia Middle School Athletic Association (GMSAA) 8th grade championship-winning North Cobb team this past season season. His frame lends itself to any number of positions on the field, making him an obvious choice as an Athlete for the 2024 8th Grade Georgia Future Stars team. At the West Atlanta tryout in early March, he was clocked at a 4.69 in the forty, which was the fastest time of any position, at any tryout, up until that point of tryouts. He played running back, defensive end, outside linebacker this year but is also coming off an injury that caused him to miss four months. However, he’s back and fully cleared and is on pace to be be running around a 11.5 in the 100M by the end of track season. He’ll be a scary sight come mid-June.
